Everyone is talking about the Olympic games, but there is a dif-ferent race that everyone has to take

part in that has a different sort of reward. Let us have a look at some of the differences be-tween an athletic race and the race God set before us.

Difference between the world race and God’s race

i) Only one person wins the race. Everyone is a winner in God’s race- God has a race for everyone.

supermalt.com

Competition

To be in with a chance of winning a Grace Foods Hamper worth over £150 simply answer the following question:

Which special anniversary is Grace Foods celebrating this year?

Email your answer and contact details to:

[email protected]

GOOD LUCK!

ii) Everyone has to do the same race. Eg. running, swimming. With God No-one can run your race; only you.

iii) The prize is a medal, honour for that season. God’s prize is a crown that lasts throughout eternity.

We all need to run our race as we need to prepare for our returning King, Jesus and we need to pass the baton to the next generation. So lets awake, arise, train and run with all the honour and dignity that God has put within you. He has chosen you: run for Him:

Not just a great soul artist or even a great R&B artist, the British-born, Manchester-bred Misha B encompasses several

genres, while displaying vocals reminiscent of Motown-era greats. Armed with the vocals to blow people away, Misha has the vision to make history.

Misha spent her teenage years showcasing her diva-infused voice at open-mic nights and busk-ing on the street. While it was a tough crowd, she had the freedom to explore her sound and a chance to teach herself how to adapt to diverse audiences.

“I never had a band. It was me, my CDs or some-times just my voice, my heels, the audience and a huge stage to fill. I loved that!”

Mix a bit of Jennifer Hudson with Nicki Minaj, add in the charisma and stage performance of Tina Turner and you will start to get an idea of what kind of package Misha brings to the table.

Since leaving her X-Factor journey behind her, Misha B has signed to Sony / Relentless and is in the studio, working hard and ready to show the world what she can do. Having achieved so much in a short time, she is quick to emphasise: “Life is what YOU make of it”.

Misha B Live Many congratulations are due to Misha B ahead of the release of her debut album, she has now achieved top 20 UK chart success with her first single Home Run. Her catchy dance tune entered the charts at number 11, which made it the high-est charting new entry in that week. Misha B who created Home Run with her producer describes the song as being about a relationship with someone special who allows you to let yourself go in a good way.

BEX Live will be hearing the magnificent sound of Misha B singing Home Run live and direct at the concert she is headlining. When she was asked how she was feeling about performing to her Bir-mingham fans at the event she said “I’m excited to perform to celebrate Jamaican Independence day and to support the chosen charities......... hopefully lots of money will be raised. I look for-ward to seeing you there!”

BEX Live says: We are looking forward to see-ing you too. A very warm welcome awaits you in Birmingham

BEX Live caught up with DJ Virtuous, the hottest name in events in and around Birming-ham. But who is the lady behind the name? How did she become the Hostess with the Mostess? How does she look so good when her diary of events challenges the Queen during her Jubilee? Well BEX Live lets you into the secrets to success of the lady known as DJ Virtu-ous Name: Adel Pinnock

Born: Birmingham, UK

Family: 1 daughter, 3 brothers and 1 sister

Favourite Book: Bible, anything that is inspirational, I have a large library of books at home which are like a goldmine to me....

Inspirational CornerWhen did you start your own business and why?

I started in business over 16 years ago and it was because I loved to help others

regain health and well being and I thought I could do this as a living! Before long, Health authorities were asking me to work with dif-ferent communities in the borough and the rest is history. Virtuous promotions was birthed after a radio manager heard my voice on his station – I was invited to talk about an event I was doing, and he asked me to consider broad-casting! I’ve never looked back! God has used this area of my business to spread the message of hope and restoration to those who feel that there is no hope.So the business LEDA has 2 strands......NewLife Health Initia-tive (Health Promotion) and Virtu-ous Promotions (Media & Broad-casting).

Tell us some of the different roles you have done over the years:

Well I think I would bore you silly with the amount of things I’ve done! But in a nutshell, I have been a senior lecturer in Fitness and Health, a Personal Fitness Trainer, Health Promotion Specialist, Radio Broadcaster, Events Compere, Deejay, Events promoter, Consultant to event’s organisers/promoters........as well as mother, iterant preacher & teacher of seminars and work-shops developed over the years, praise & Worship leader......

What’s been your best or proudest moment?

Being able to own my own office for the first time in the very early stages of the business. It was a nice feeling not having to ask a boss when I could go home,……

that was my decision……trust me, hard work but priceless…

What’s been your biggest challenge and how did you over-come it?

I suppose having to work full time and undergo cancer treatment for 2years. That was a major chal-lenge….on top of that I decided to enrol unto a masters degree at the same time! Looking back, I’m not entirely sure how I coped. I just took one day at a time and when things were just too hard I would just take time out by building in some “me” time…….

What does the future hold for DJ Virtuous?

I think that I have only scratched the surface with what I am doing now. I’m holding a ministry, work and marketplace conference on 28th September in the midst of

everything else, plus there are offers of other media projects in the pipeline so I am learning the ropes as I go along!

What words of inspiration can you offer to our BEX Live readers?

Hopefully to be an inspiration to other women who feel that they have so much more in them but never get that opportunity to show it. But also to encourage those who want to go into busi-ness to not let anyone deter you from going for it. You don’t need the whole world behind you to begin….just faith that God is the only one that will build you, con-nect you then launch you. email:[email protected] call: 07577155224
