We have also created musical sounds with some instruments. Next week will be talking about our families. Please could you bring in a family photograph for us to share. Nursery children have really enjoyed playing in our new sand pit in our outdoor area. We have been getting right in, with our socks and shoes off and talking about how the sand feels on our bare feet. We have lots of large sand toys to get busy with! We have read the story ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ by Julia Donaldson and talked about being a kind and helpful friend. Ask the children what happened to the giant at the end of the story!!!! We have had a very busy week in Reception! The children have been looking at houses and have even made a picture of what their home looks like. We have been reading about The Three Little Pigs and what their homes were built with. We have been practicing our counting and have even been looking at ‘more’ and ‘less’. We have also been singing lots of nursery rhymes, playing in the outdoor area and spending lots of time in our home corner!
