forward Price/Earnings ratio.

• The datatypes and calculations are as follows, based on underlying equity level consensus

– P/E Ratio (DIPE) (sum IBNOSH*IBP) /(sum F1FD12*IBNOSH)

Where

– F1FD12 is I/B/E/S 12 month forward EPS estimate;

– IBNOSH is I/B/E/S number of shares;

– IBP is I/B/E/S price.

WHAT IS IT?

• Next generation Datastream add in. Built on .NET (rather than VB/Active X) and 64bit MS

Office (2010) compatible

WHO IS IT INITIALLY FOR?

• Clients moving to Excel 2010 64 bit (not supported by AFO) - Note Office 2003 not

supported

• New Datastream (Direct) clients – who cannot access Port 23

BENEFITS TO CLIENTS?

• Lighter install – to ship with Datastream Direct, requiring no IP registration

• Uses standard communications – access via Port 80/http (rather than Port 23/telnet) &

Datastream child IDs - and does not use DSGATE

• Requests held in Excel using formulas (rather than ActiveX) – offering greater user

familiarity, and compatibility

• More use browser based interfaces (can be upgraded without a re-install) – new expression

builder with new list builder planned for 2nd release

• Common formula integration with TRSL – requires new version of TRSL to co- exist
