Power – Off – No power – Verify power supply connections and electrical outlet, also make sure the outletis not connected to a switch.

Cable – Off/Blinking – No downstream RF carrier present/downstream RF – Verify cable connections andtry resetting the modem. If cable is ok & modem reset doesn’t work, call technical support.

Cable – Solid – None – Sold for the Cable Modem registered and ready to transfer data.

PC – Off – Modem does not ‘see’ the PC – Verify Ethernet cable connections, the TCP/IP settings and theNIC. You might need to reinstall the NIC drivers. If any of this does not work, call technical support.

PC – Solid – None – PC has Ethernet connection.

Data – On/Blinking – None – Data is being passed through the modem.

Data – Off – None – No data is being passed through the modem.

Test – On – Bad Modem – Try resetting the modem. If this does not work, call technical support.

Power – Indicates whether the cable modem is in stand-by or active mode. The light is off when themodem is in stand-by mode and on when the power is activated.

PC Link – Indicates whether the connection is active (ready to transmit or receive) or is actually in theprocess of transmitting or receiving. The light is off when no carrier is present and there is no transmit orreceive activity, and it flashes when there is transmit or receive activity.

Cable – Indicates the status of the cable connection. The light is off when no cable connection is detectedor the modem is in stand-by mode. The light flashes when the cable connection is detected but not yetready to send or receive data. It is fully lit when the modem is registered with the network and data can besent or received.

Activity – Indicates the existence of data traffic in the cable line. The light is off when no data traffic ispresent. It flashes when data activity exists.

Email – The light is off when no email exists. It flashes when you have email. This is dependent upon theISP.

Power – Off – Not receiving powerPower – Solid Green – Receiving powerCable – Off – Not detecting signal from the cable networkCable – Solid Green – Modem is online and ready to transmit dataCable – Slow, Blinking Green – Detecting signal and trying to connect to cable networkCable – Fast, Blinking Green – Rebooting is in progressPC – Off – Not establishing ethernet connectionPC – Solid Green – Ethernet connection is establishedData – Off – Not transmitting dataData – Blinking Green – Modem is transmitting dataTest – Off – Ready to use after initial self-test, or not receiving powerTest – Blinking Amber – Initial self-test in progress or software downloading is in progressTest – Solid Amber – Self-test failed

PWR – Indicates whether power is being supplied to the modem. This LED is steady green when theodem is powered.LAN – Indicates the status of the modem’s connection to your computer. This LED is steady green when afunctional LAN connection (ethernet or USB) is detected.CBL – Indicates the modem’s acquisition state. This LED is steady green when the modem is fullyacquired.SND – Indicates that the modem is sending data. This LED flashes green when the modem is sending dataupstream.RCV – Indicates that the modem is receiving data. This LED flashes green when the modem is receivingdownstream data.OPT – This LED’s function is defined by your service provider.

Power – (Green) When this LED is on, it indicates that the Cable Modem is correctly supplied with power. The LED should remain lighted constantly.

Activity – (Green) When this LED is on, it indicates that the Cable Modem is properly connected to yourPC or other Ethernet device, either through the USB or Ethernet Port on the back of the Cable Modem. The LED flashes when data is being transmitted to or from your PC (or other Ethernet device) through theCable Modem.

Cable – (Green) This LED will blink to indicate that data is being transmitted to or from your CableModem to the Internet connection.

Status – (Green) This LED will go through a series of flashes as the Cable Modem goes through its startupprocess. Once the process is complete, the LED will remain lighted to show a successful connection toyour Internet Service Provider. The Cable Modem will go through this process every time power is takenaway from and restored to it, or when the Reset button is pressed. This process can be fairly quick orprolonged, depending on your Provider, Internet traffic in your area, etc. If this LED is still blinking 10minutes after the Cable Modem has been powered up or reset, it is an indication of a connection problem.
