BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN
KentuckyRecognized by TIME Magazine
FROM THE CHAIRMANN E W P A R T N E R S
Welcome,
If you know of a business not taking advantage of chamber partnership perks, contact [email protected]
NEW PARTNERS: Tune in to hear your business's name on these TV and radio stations:
I am thrilled to be the new Chairman of the Board for 2019, and I’m excited to hit the ground running. We are already starting the year off strong; Bowling Green was recently recognized as the ‘Best Place to Live in Kentucky’ by Time Magazine. We will be sharing more throughout the next few months about what makes this community the best, and what sets us apart from the rest of the Commonwealth. Keep an eye out for this by following us on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
At the beginning of January, we celebrated 4 distinguished volunteers at our annual Chamber Awards News Conference, Ambassador of the Year: Julie Huntsman, Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Monica Wardlow, BGYP Young Professional of the Year: Destini Eaton, and Board Volunteer of the Year: Travis Keller.
Every year, our Chamber and our community benefit from the hard work of these volunteers. The level of success our organization has achieved would not be possible without our volunteers’ support and dedication. We’re extremely fortunate to have such a loyal volunteer base, and we thank them for their commitment. The Chamber Volunteer Awards are about recognizing these volunteers that have gone above and beyond and expressing our gratitude for their service. To all our volunteers, we thank you for your service to our community.
We couldn’t do all we do without our partners, and 2018 was no exception. Our Annual Report is now available on our website at bgchamber.com. I can’t wait to be a part of all of the success we will see as a Chamber and community in 2019.

“That’s one small step for … man; one giant leap for mankind.”
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of that epic achievement in human history, the National Corvette Museum, in conjunction with NASA and the Marshall Space Flight Center, have put together an exhibit that will inspire and remind us that no goal is too far out of reach. The exhibit is called From Gas Station to Space Station: How NASA Conquered Low-Earth Orbit.
To learn more about this story, please make plans to go through From Gas Station to Space Station: How NASA Conquered Low Earth Orbit, now in the Exhibit Hall at the National Corvette Museum that will be running January 14th – July 30th, 2019. For more information, visit corvettemuseum.org.
