Dockyard and at some hotels and guest houses. Buses Regularly scheduled buses operate at frequent intervals to most of the destinations throughout Bermuda which visitors find of interest. There is a Central Bus Terminal on Washington Street in Hamilton, just off Church Street and a few steps east of the City Hall & Arts Centre. Bus stops are designated throughout the Island either by pink or blue poles – solid Pink inbound to the City of Hamilton; solid Blue outbound from the City of Hamilton. If using cash, passengers must have the exact fare in coins. Paper currency of any denomination will not be accepted on the bus. Below shows a list of many of the destinations that visitors ask about most frequently. Motor Scooters For hire at liveries throughout the Island and through your hotel or guest house – visitors must be 18 years or older to drive. Law requires all persons (driver and passenger) riding motorised cycles to wear safety helmets. It is always wise to lock cycles when not riding them. Remember – We Drive on the Left! Pedestrian crossings are indicated by black and white zebra stripes on the road. A single yellow line denotes ‘no parking’. Speed limit throughout the Island is 35 kph (20 mph). Do not speed and do not keep looking behind you. Gas Station Hours Open daily, 7am – 7pm, with several open until 11pm or later. Pedal Cycles Available for hire at some cycle liveries. Traffic Lights in the City of Hamilton. At most intersections where there are traffic lights, pedestrians do not have the right of way on the crossing except when the green pedestrian light is showing. Pedestrian must push button on light pole for pedestrian green light. For the convenience of the blind, a bell will ring when the pedestrian light turns green. At other pedestrian crossings throughout the Island (marked by zebra stripes across the road), pedestrians do have the right of way and motorised traffic must stop in deference to pedestrians. Transportation Fares Transportation Passes and Tickets can be purchased at the Hamilton Central Bus Terminal, the Hamilton Ferry Terminal, at the Visitor Information Centres located in the Town of St. George and R.N. Dockyard and at some hotels and guest houses.

BusesRegularly scheduled buses operate at frequent intervals to most of the destinations throughout Bermuda which visitors fi nd of interest. There is a Central Bus Terminal on Washington Street in Hamilton, just off Church Street and a few steps east of the City Hall & Arts Centre. Bus stops are designated throughout the Island either by pink or blue poles – solid Pink inbound to the City of Hamilton; solid Blue outbound from the City of Hamilton.

Tokens and Transportation Passes are valid on the ferries. If using cash, passengers must have the exact fare in coins. Paper currency of any denomination will not be accepted on the bus.

Motor Scooters For hire at liveries throughout the Island and through your hotel or guest house – visitors must be 18 years or older to drive. Law requires all persons (driver and passenger) riding motorised cycles to wear safety helmets. It is always wise to lock cycles when not riding them.

Remember – We Drive on the Left! Pedestrian crossings are indicated by black and white zebra stripes on the road. A single yellow line denotes ‘no parking’. Speed limit throughout the Island is 35 kph (20 mph). Do not speed and do not keep looking behind you.

Gas Station Hours Open daily, 7am – 7pm, with several open until 11pm or later.

Pedal Cycles Available for hire at some cycle liveries.

Traffi c Lights in the City of Hamilton. At most intersections where there are traffi c lights, pedestrians do not have the right of way on the crossing except when the green pedestrian light is showing. Pedestrian must push button on light pole for pedestrian green light. For the convenience of the blind, a bell will ring when the pedestrian light turns green. At other pedestrian crossings throughout the Island (marked by zebra stripes across the road), pedestrians do have the right of way and motorised traffi c must stop in deference to pedestrians.
