While the world was underlockdown, our lives werechaotic. Our favourite
snacks were out of reach and themovies we waited for were notreleased. With every passing day,we began to cherish the smallthings that we missed. While everyone is doing the bestthey can to destress and remaincheerful, Shiksha Niketan Schooldecided to spread more love andwarmth by engaging its dear stu-dents and their parents in shortfun-filled activities as a part of itsin-house quarantine competition.
The objective behind the activitieswas to provide a platform whereparents could engage with theirchildren in fun-filled tasks allocat-ed to the students by their teach-ers.While having teachers constantlyavailable for guidance and any sortof help, parents could participatewholeheartedly without hesitation.We're more than happy to share
our star younglings and their par-ents who've so sportively com-pleted their activities as part ofthe "Shiksha Inhouse QuarantineCompetition".From the tiny tots of Prep-1 toclass X, students and parents par-ticipated with enthusiasm andzeal, as they tried to keep thelockdown h. umdrum at bay. The activities included shadowidentification, Zumba moves, roleplay, storytelling, rapid fire roundof countries and their capitals,speeches about social revolution-ists and reformers, creating pic-ture dictionary on maths topics,tonge twisters, online cricketcoaching, yoga, puppet shows,

The artistic talents of thestudents were pushed to the foreand gorgeous paintings weredemonstrated live by them.They showcased their abundantknowledge of Karnataka's vastculture and traditions throughfolk dance forms. They spokeabout historical places and contri-bution of laureates towards thevast literature of the state.All these activities enabled thefamilies of our students to havefun and kindled their thirst forknowledge.
