This programme, which responds to the increasing demand for both structural and fire safety engineering professionals, arises from the Fire Service (Amendment) Ordinance the Fire Service (Amendment) Ordinance 2017 2017 and the aging building stocks aging building stocks in Hong Kong. Entrance Requirements Minimum academic entrance requirements:

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Qualification

Satisfy the University’s General Entrance Requirement with the minimum level requirements for the 4 core subjects and 2 elective subjects as 332233 respectively:

4 core subjects + 2 elective subjects (including M1/M2)

Preferred Elective Subjects:• Physics• Combined Science with Physics• Extended Modules of Mathematics

Other QualificationsApplicants with other academic qualifications such as General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) will also be considered.
