Priscilla Shirer Conference ~~~ 28 April 2018, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM First Baptist Church of Wildwood is hosting a live simulcast of this conference and have welcomed our ladies to join them. The cost is $25 including lunch which is significantly less expensive than traveling there in person and is certainly a much shorter day. Many who have already signed up indicated a preference to attend this simulcast in Wildwood; however, if you prefer to go to the conference in Tampa in person, please see Dee Dameron for details.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Good morning and welcome to Immanuel Baptist Church. We are excited to be here today and welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ. Our prayer for each of you is for you to sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in this place. We are here to worship Him.
Many of our folks are suffering from this flu bug that is making its rounds. Please remember to include them in your daily prayers.
Next Sunday evening is our Singspiration at 6:00 PM in the Worship Center. It will be a fun evening and please come and bring a guest with you. Russell mentioned to me that this one will be the best one ever!
This morning I begin a series of messages from the Books of the Minor Prophets and I plan to continue this up to the start of our Revival which is on Sunday 25th of March. The message this morning is from the Book of Hosea, which is a book about the faithfulness of God. It is a book about how God loves His people in spite of their on-going sin and rebellion. The problem for Israel at this time was that they had been enjoying peace and economic prosperity for so long, they had forgotten that it was the Lord who made it all possible. Things had been so good, people took it all for granted. The truth was that people were unfaithful to God and idolatry was rampant. It was under these circumstances that God raised up Hosea, a man who was deeply committed to God and His will. We see Hosea’s commitment to God through his devotion to his own unfaithful wife. There is an application for us in this message this morning.

Next week’s message by Pastor Mike will be “The Day of the Lord is Coming!” and the scripture will be: Joel 1:15. Pastor Mike will share that judgment is coming for God’s people. We need to remember this especially and not take His blessings for granted.
