The “Trick” for converting using “King Henry” 

Start at the prefix of the unit you are starting with and count the times you move to get to the prefix you are converting to. Do not count the unit you started with. Move the decimal that

many places and in the direction you counted (right or left).

Change 34L to mL◦ It takes 1,000 mL to equal 1L, so times 24 by 1000

Change 4,690g to kg◦ It takes 1,000g to equal 1kg, so times by .001◦ 4690g x .0001 = 4.690kg
