John Kennedy rode in a Dallas parade • Sudden rifle shots rang out and Kennedy

was shot in the head

• Ex-Marine, had lived in Soviet Union and supported Castro

• Killed point blank by Jack Ruby while changing jail cell

Lyndon B. Johnson, Kennedy’s VP, was sworn in as the new U.S. President

on Air Force One

Warren Commission• Group led by Chief Justice Earl Warren

to investigate Kennedy’s death

• Decided one bullet hit Kennedy and it was from Lee Harvey Oswald. People continue to question the “W.C.” today.
