Create, modify and remove your virtual machines yourselfThe vContainer is a virtual data center composed of IT resources that you can manage at will. You can create, modify and remove your virtual machines yourself, as well as the operating systems and applications that run on these machines. You have a management portal and several predefined server models at your disposal for this. It is also possible to import your own models or to migrate existing machines to this environment.

Virtual datacenter You no longer need to worry about investing in the purchase of a server and the corresponding connectivity, and you avoid the costs of IT specialists and future maintenance, repair and replacement. This allows you to focus on your core activities. Proximus provides a user manual and coaching to help you get started.

Your data are hosted securely and protected by a firewall layer managed by Proximus. To increase security in the environment, you can configure a second firewall layer that you manage yourself and activate virus protection on your machines.

SharedShared is standardized on a fully shared infrastructure that is redundant on two data centers. You can opt for a monthly payment model (fixed) or a flexible payment model (pay as you use), and order your upgrades online via a portal.

Dedicated Dedicated offers a dedicated infrastructure on one or two data centers for customers who want a tailor-made and highly flexible design with a fixed monthly payment model.

Mix Mix is a mixture of the previous models: the underlying physical servers are specific to one or two data centers; the management and storage infrastructure are shared. The upgrades are standardized.

The vContainer comes in three versions: Shared, Dedicated or Mix, depending on whether you need a standardized or a tailor-made solution.

vContainer is a self-managed cloud solution that keeps the customer in control of his resources. The underlying infrastructure is managed and maintained by Proximus engineers in the two main data centers in Belgium (Evere and Machelen).

IP MobilityIP Mobility allows you to keep the network settings of your server if you put it in the cloud. You don’t need to change processes. The network address follows the application as it were, and the user doesn’t notice any difference between working in the cloud and working locally. Servers in the cloud are incorporated seamlessly into the network.
