How do you get to school?

Almost all of our students live not far away from the gymnasium. 14 students answered the questions. That is why most of the pupils

walk to school (8) some of them go by bus (2) or by car (4).

How far away from school do you live? 3 students – 6km 1 student – 3 km 1 –student – 2 km 2 students – 1 km 3 students – 500m 3 students – 300m 1 student – 150m

Does your family have a car? If so, how many and what make and model? How many trips a day does your family make with a car on

average?

14 pupils have got a car.4 students have 2 cars.10 pupils have one car.Not all the students could answer the question

about models: Volkswagen, VAZ- 21091, Peugeot, BMW, OPEL, Mazda, AUDI.

On average they make 3-4 trips a day.

Most of our students live in block of flats and there is central heating in such houses. In block of flats

we can’t regulate the temperature and we

depend on the common central heating. Only in the

modern block of flats which were built some years ago people can

regulate the temperature. As for the air conditioners they are becoming popular

in our country, only 2 students have an air

conditioner.

How many sheets of paper do you use in school each day on average?

On average pupils use 3-5 papers a day. Does your school have a recycling procedure?

Unfortunately, it doesn't. Do you recycle in your home? No.

School lunches: please send a photo of a typical lunch served in your school.

Mashed potatoes, fried fish and a pickled cucumber. A roll with sugar on it. And a cup of tea (but it is not in the picture)

Out of 14 pupils 13 eat at the school canteen, only one girl doesn’t eat at the canteen. She showed me her snack. Fruits and «syrok» it’s made out of cottage cheese and is covered with chocolate glaze. Our children like it.

Do you routinely turn off your classroom lights when the class leaves the room?

Every teacher should pay attention at consuming electricity during school day. If there is enough day light we must turn off the lights and especially during breaks.

In our gymnasium we are trying to save on the electricity.

Does your school or community focus on the environment with special days or events during the year?

In September we participate in ENO Tree Planting Day

In our city you can see such containers for used batteries. Children like to bring the used batteries there.
