    Why this

    Workshop?

I always wondered what happened in the West and

people have lost their fighting and inner warrior

state of being, why we present with so many back

problems, stiff necks, shallow breathing, thyroid

dysfunction. I look around me and I see fear,

    submission, anger, rounded shoulders, slouching

characters, obesity. Then, I look at old pictures of

the ancient people, the people who lived with and

from the Earth and I see Pride (with the positive

    meaning), Stamina, Inspiration, Self Confidence.

We, here in the western world, give more value to

objects, so we work hard to acquire. Together with

the fact we also live in our heads (or in some

computers head the last couple of decades), we

find ourselves working in positions our bodies

were not designed to be. We learn to abide to

rules and regulations that are imposed upon us,

but they do not necessarily spring out from a deep

understanding of Respect to the Other (Remember

last decade? Tolerate rather than encompass!).So we again find ourselves to be obedient and

fearful. We grew up within a nuclear family with

limited, often, beliefs, and not in a community

    which shares experiences.

Over the years, I have seen numerous cases of the

above. Treatments always help to correct peoples

posture, moreso if they are also pro-active.

Treatments, however, are well limited in their

positive effects, especially if the person lacks selfawareness. I came to understand that when one

gains a strong insight about themselves, then it is

much easier to change a condition.

This Workshop is designed to give this insight to

the participants. Our aim is to create a

    comfortable, supportive, and warm environment,

where each one of us entrusts their Self to the

other participants, knowing that all that happens

stays within the group. We will swap stories, openour Hearts, trust our bodies to each other, eat

great food, play, laugh (or cry if needed!).

    Therapeutic Sessions at the Workshop

This transformational program utilises each other as co-facilitators, exercise, physical therapies andmindfulness techniques, to give you tools that will assist you to create lasting change and becomethe best You that you can be

The CranioSacral System consists of the brain, spinal cord, membranes & fluid within it. The fluid hasa rhythm all its own, like your heartbeat or pulse. When there is a disruption in the system, dysfunction can occur. A disruption means that the cerebral spinal fluid is not flowing to its maximumpotential. It can be caused by an accident, such as a blow to the head or a fall. A disruption can alsooccur from any sort of repeated physical or emotional stress, chemical toxicity (from medications, forexample), or environmental toxicity. To correct a disruption, the therapist will use gentle non-intrusivetechniques to free restrictions of the soft tissue, bone structure, & central nervous system. Thetherapist facilitates rather than induces a change. The client decides upon the level of physical and/oremotional change. CranioSacral Therapists are trained to release restrictions in the body.CranioSacral Therapy (CST) calms the central nervous system, allowing the body and mind to bestronger and more resilient. In general, CST is very relaxing and people report feeling exceptionallygrounded immediately after a session. At the Workshop the CST sessions will focus on the relation ofthe Heart/ Emotional issues that may be contributing to thoracic restrictions and bad posture

Yoganidra as a state of mind between wakefulness and sleep that opens deep phases of the mind,

connecting mentally an initial request (visualization, or mantra) within specific body parts, whilemeditating on each part. It is a state of conscious deep sleep. One appears to be sleeping but theunconscious mind is functioning at a deeper level: it is sleep with a trace of deep awareness. Innormal sleep we lose track of our self but in yoganidra, while consciousness of the world is dim andrelaxation is deep, there remains an inward lucidity and experiences may be absorbed to be recalledlater. Since yoganidra involves an aimless & effortless relaxation it is often held by a facilitator whoverbally delivers instructions. In the Workshop, yoganidra will focus on postural alignment

The techniques used in the group therapy sessions focusing in the release of the neck and theoccipital base, are based on CST, myotherapy and relaxation massage techniques. The protocolfollowed is developed by Spiro, and is a powerful tool to utilize in order to deeply relax the receiver,

so optimal safe traction is applied. The result is stunning, the receiver feels the positive effectsstraight after the treatment: better oxygenation of the brain, feeling of significant alignment, sometimes euphoria
