Doug’s voice has been recognized by his peers as being the closest to “The King’s.” Symphony No. 5 Mahler Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 Grieg Composed in the summers of 1901 and 1902, the Fiſth Symphony is a powerfully expressive statement of the composer’s personal struggles and triumphs. The Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra will be featured in a side-by-side performance of Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 with the SMSO.
