The e-mail stating that a new package has been created for you will include the link to the supplier.cessna.com

secure web site. Access to this site has been tested with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Firefox.

The first panel will prompt you for your Textron UserID (usually your email address in lowercase letters),

password and Cessna supplier code. When these three fields are completed, select the “Login” button. The

password is case-sensitive and expires every 60 days.

Passwords must have upper and lower case characters.

Passwords cannot be repeated or reused for 18 iterations.

Please create passwords that are not easily guessed.

ACCESSING CEDARS MAIN MENU

Once you have logged into the web site, you may reach the CEDARS (Cessna Electronic Data Acquisition and

Release System) packages, by clicking on the “Process Improvements/Collaboration link in the left menu panel,

then the CEDARS link or on the link under Supplier Information.

REGISTERING YOUR COMPANY WITH CEDARS

When the CEDARS menu panel appears, it displays the options that are available to you. If you do not see

links to download packages, click on the “Update Technical Contact” link to add/update contact information

and/or CAD data format(s). Until this panel is completed, your company will not be registered with CEDARS,

packages to you cannot be created and you cannot upload files.

UPDATING CEDARS TECHNICAL CONTACT

This panel displays the technical contact and CAD data format(s) used by CEDARS to create packages. The

first Data Transfer Contact Name and email and the default CAD format are required fields. The second Data

Transfer Contact Name and email and alternate CAD format are optional fields. If you require alternate CAD

formats, they may be selected for later use by the Cessna person who creates your packages. More than one

alternate CAD format may be selected by holding the CTRL key down when selecting the additional formats.

Click on the "Explain CAD Formats" button (see next page for illustration) if you need further explanation of

the CAD formats. Click on the "Submit" button to save and implement your changes and also register your

company with CEDARS.

When you return to the CEDARS main menu, three additional links will appear, one for downloading packages

generated by Cessna to you, one for uploading documents to Cessna and one for initiating Supplier Self-Service

Document Requests.

If you require more than two persons to be notified of a new package, please create a group email account at

your company, grant access to those who need it and register the group email account as one of the two allotted

to your company on this page.

CAD FORMAT SELECTION

Once you have registered your company information and CEDARS technical information, the CEDARS menu

will appear as shown below. You will now be able to download packages from Textron Aviation or upload files

to Textron Aviation by clicking on the links indicated. You will also be able to request Material Specifications

by selecting “Technical Documents”, then “Cessna Materials & Process Specifications Index” from the grey

menu on the left side of the page.

Note the difference between “new” packages and “available” packages to download. A “new” package has not

been downloaded yet. An “available” package has been downloaded at least once, but has not expired.

DOWNLOADING CESSNA PACKAGES

This panel displays the CEDARS packages which are available for download. Click on the button for the file

you wish to download. Click on the link “Return to CEDARS Menu” to return to the CEDARS menu. To view

the contents of the package, click on the “View” button to the right of the package button.

When you click on the package button, you will be asked whether to Open or Save the package. Choose “Save”

to download the package to your computer. You may then open the package and extract its contents. Each

package will be available for fourteen (14) calendar days.

SELF-SERVICE REQUESTS FOR MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

Each month, you should receive notifications of Cessna Material and Process Specifications that have been

revised. Cessna has provided the ability for its suppliers to perform self-service requests for these specifications

at your convenience. To initiate a request, click on the link “Technical Documents”, then “Materials and

Process Specifications Index”.

Submit button begins process. A scheduled

job runs every 5 minutes to find and

execute these self-service requests. If you

request 50 or more specifications, the job
