WHY I AM INTERESTED

I personally think that this would be a nice career because I love to help others and I would also keep criminals off the streets. It

seems like it would keep me busy all the time which sounds

pleasing to me.

SCHOOL

In order to qualify in becoming a police officer I have to-Graduate High SchoolGet a degree in law enforcement

Graduate military school

MILITARY SCHOOLThis requirement takes seven

hundred and twenty two hours and during this time I would be training

with guns and hand to hand combat. I would also practice breaching

houses and being trained on what to do in certain situations. Coming out of military school, I would be trained

physically and mentally.

THE LIFE OF A POLICE OFFICER

The life of a police officer in certainly not very pleasing for everyone,

which after research, I am not sure if I want to become a police officer. The reason is because you never

know what kind of day you’re going to have and you might even see

people dying. In order to be a police officer you have to literally expect the unexpected every single day.

Another down side of being a police officer (at least for me) is that it is

more of a lifestyle than a career. The reason for that is that if you see a

civilian in danger or in need of something I can’t just ignore it, it would be my duty to help them. I

honestly would rather have a regular nine to five job than do that.

ANALYSIS

After all of my research with becoming a police officer I found

that I actually do not want to become what I thought I wanted

to become at first.
