I realize that we have a couple months before the slopes open but that is why we need to get all the preparation done so we can be out there on the slopes when the first snow flies. The club is hard at work with our candy fundraiser so we can have funds available to subsidize our ski trips and oth-er fun events. Don’t forget the orders and money are due at the November meeting and Janelle will also have chocolate covered pretzels to sell at the November meeting.
We will be accepting donations at the November meeting for the Lottery Basket and the Booze Basket for the Quaker Steak and Lube Ski and Snowboard Kickoff. Again any pro-ceeds from this event will be used to help keep the cost of ski trips at a minimum.
We have also picked dates for day trips to Seven Springs for one Sunday in each month – January 26, February 9, and March 16. Look for more information on these trips in the next newsletter.
Curtis Bell from Cleveland Metro Ski Club will also be at the November meeting to give info on the ski trip to France. It is important to come to the meetings to keep up on all the information on trips and discounts available to members of our club. As a club we are members of the Cleveland Metro and Western Pa Ski Council which gives us an opportunity to be included in many discounts on trips and much more.
Don’t forget to check out the website as it has been up-dated and submit pictures or info to Jennifer Mann at [email protected]
Don’t forget that membership renewal deadline is Oct 31 or at the November meeting.
See you there,
Mary

your chance. Information is Attached to this Newsletter.
HaHa Pot/ Quaker Steak and Lube
In an effort to be more prepared for the Quaker Steak and Lube Ski and Snowboard Kickoff
in November, we are now collecting for the raffle baskets to donate to the event. We will be
accepting any donation of alcoholic beverage for a “Booze Basket” and also any scratch off
lottery ticket for a “Lottery Basket”. Anyone bringing lottery scratch offs will be given the
dollar amount of the ticket in haha pot tickets. That dollar amount will be deducted from
the clubs 50% of the pot. That means it will not have any effect on the dollar amount of the
pot.

QUAKER STEAK AND LUBE SNOW AND SKI SHOW 2013
We will again be setting up a table at the Lube Snow and Ski Show on Thursday, November 21st at Quak-
er Steak and Lube 101 Chestnut Street in Sharon, Pa. We will be raffling off a basket for the event and we
will also be giving away two ski trip vouchers for $50 off a weekend ski trip. So come and join us for the
event. We have been there for the past few years and have always had a great time. There is a style show
and a lot of great prizes. Representatives from the surrounding area ski resorts are also in attendance and
have a lot of free stuff. BVSC members have won many nice prizes in the past. We are also inviting you
to help out with this event by bringing in booze for our raffle basket. Just look around your house and
maybe you have an unopened bottle of some odd alcoholic beverage that you look at from time to time
and think “I’ll never drink that” or even if you would drink it, you could donate it to the Lube raffle.
Bring your bottle to the October and November meetings and receive an extra ha ha pot ticket for each
item. Or you can purchase a scratch off lottery ticket and bring it to the meeting and receive the dollar
amount in haha pot tickets. The lottery ticket money will be included in the 50/50 raffle so the winner
will receive the same dollar amount regardless of the number of lottery tickets received. Let’s everyone try
to support the clubs efforts. The Show starts at 7 pm. Anyone planning to attend this event is also
asked to bring a new toy for Toys for Tots and they will receive an extra ticket for the raffle.
