BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A PADDLEYesterday turned out to be the perfect day for a paddle! The sun wasshining, the water was calm, and 12 of our Lora Bay residents hadthe Beaver River to themselves! Apparently there were already a fewhints of Fall colours and there were various bird sightings along theway.
Our last paddle of the year will take place on Wednesday, September20th at 10am. Any residents who are interested in joining, pleaseconfirm with Natalie Ladly at [email protected].
LORA BAY DANCE THIS WEEKEND!Just a reminder for those of you who managed tosecure tickets, the Lora Bay Dance is happening thisSaturday, September 9th. Doors open at 7pm and theband goes on at 8pm. For those of you who haven'tattended before, the dress is Meet & Greet casual, andplease remember it is a cash bar! Water and munchieswill be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Cy Annal and Rudy Chiarandini, ourbeautiful Lora Bay circle is now lit at night! They have worked hardover the past few months to install lighting across the front andaround the back of our circle. The town has also been by to seal thegravel at the circle's edge which should help keep it tidy. Now youcan enjoy the circle anytime, day or night! Thank you to Lora BayHeritage!
LORA BAY MEET & GREET HOSTSWith the summer months behind us, we are looking to get our FallMeet & Greets organized. We have a few open days which need tobe filled. With our community growing as quickly as it is, there is noreason for a resident to host more than once a year. If you haven'thad a chance to host yet, please check your calendars, chat withyour neighbours, and see if any of the following dates are possible:

COBBLE BEACH CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE
For the automobile aficionado or for anyone who can appreciate abeautiful car, this is the event for you. Taking place on September16th & 17th, Cobble Beach Golf Course Community presents the 5thannual Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where beautiful andrarely seen automobiles will herald in a new tradition of distinctionand elegance on the shores of Georgian Bay.
The Participant tour will take place in Grey County on Saturday,September 16th, followed by the Concours on Sunday, September17th which will be held on the 18th fairway. BEAVER VALLEY FALL FAIR
The Beaver Valley Fall Fair is more thanjust farmers comparing their annual noteson livestock and crop success and failure.In the days before the telephone, nevermind the Internet, people had to meet tocommunicate. Now we choose to meet tocelebrate the annual harvest, to educatetourists and residents alike on our farminghistory and culture, to promote the localagricultural industry and lifestyle, and tocelebrate our community's life and pride byproviding the longest-running communityevent in The Blue Mountains.
The Fall Fair starts tomorrow, Friday, September 8th throughSaturday, September 9th. The fairgrounds open on Saturday morningat 10am with a petting zoo, chainsaw carving demonstrations, petshow, bouncy castle, face painting, wagon rides, a tractor pull, applepeeling contest and more!
