Congratulations to the new BHS Athletes of the Week: SHAMARCUS BROWN and CALEB
WILKINS! Both played key roles in Friday Night's 34-7 football win over the South-Doyle Cherokees. Bearden's Cross Country Teams continued their early season success on Saturday at the Cherokee Classic. The Boys placed 6th as a team out of 44 total team entries. The Girls took 8th in a field of 32 teams. Top Finishers were Preston Ruth, Nathan Worley, Ben Cruze, Anna Richardson, Mia Montgomery, and Elise Pickett. The Bearden Lady Soccer Dawgs are back in action Thursday Night at 7:00 when they host Greeneville. The BHS Volley Dogs play at home on Thursday, taking on Oak Ridge at 6:00. The JV Match starts at 5:00. Bearden's Rugby Club will be in Athens on Saturday for the McMinn County 7's. Good Luck to the BHS Marching Band this weekend! They will be competing in the Ooltewah Band Festival and Exhibition. Archery club meets on Alternating Mondays- We would love to have new members... please contact Athena Marlar or Angelia Ford. Also, we are looking for used Recurve bows if you have any you could donate - we would love it. National Honor Society will be offering tutoring in Math, Science, and English in room 405 from 3:30-4:30.
Thursday, September 20th
Bearden High School students will be performing in Annual Skits. Tickets will be $7 and can be purchased at the door or online at Knox County Schools online school payments.
Thursday, October 4th
Interested in learning more about the PTSO and opportunities to get involved? Attend the next PTSO meeting on at 1:00pm in the Bearden Library. All are welcome! PTSO volunteer opportunities are still available. Please contact our board via email [email protected].

Registration (due by Friday, 9-14-18). All registration is to be completed via a Google Doc. The link

Additional required documents can be given to Debbie Knight in the West Mall office or to a coach at the first
practice. Fees are payable during registration via KCS Online School Payment System or by check made payable
to BHS
Non-USA swimmer (high school only) = $350
USA Swimmer (year-round club) = $275
Diver Only = $75 (plus TN Diving program fees)

Approximately 5 dual or triangular meets are scheduled between October and January each season.
