Career Transitions

The Brentwood Career Transitions Support Group, sponsored by BUMC for nearly 25-years, provides career search advice and encouragement for indi-viduals making a career or job change. Career Transitions is led by volunteers and offers a mix of keynote speakers, expert panels and other formats to train people how to find and get hired for that next job. Career Transitions is free and open to the public. The program meets in Haney Hall each Monday beginning at 6:30 p.m. For latest schedule information visit bumc.net/career.

Financial Coaching

Financial coaching helps individuals learn how to be good stewards of their finances. Skilled volunteers meet with individuals or couples to help them create a budget, develop a plan for getting out of debt and to set savings goals. Financial coaching is available to anyone who wants to learn how to be more responsible with their money. Whether you find yourself in a financial crisis or if you just want to improve your money management skills so you can experience the joy of giving, please contact Rev. Erin Racine, [email protected].

Financial and Food Assistance

The Sower’s Fund assists families and individuals who are facing difficult financial situations by providing assistance in various forms primarily related to food, gas, utilities and psychological care. We also have many community partners that help us provide other types of assistance. Our hope is that the Sower’s Fund fulfills Christ’s call in Matthew 5:42 to give to those who ask and that out of these initial interactions we can build longer-term relationships that are centered on love of God and love of neighbor. The Sower Fund is funded through special offerings, donations and collections from the ThriftSmart bins located in the church parking lot.

CARING MINISTRIES is for all persons in our community. If you are in need of pastoral care, please contact Julie Donley at 615-324-7254. Emergency, after hours Pastor-On-Call: 615-969-3086
