● A car outside heats up quickly and on a sunny day it can become hotter than 120F/50C. This can lead to sudden death of infants, toddlers (37 on average in the US each year)

● Although no parent ever thinks it will happen to them, 72% of parents consider buying a device for their peace of mind

● Smart car seats and proximity sensor key fobs have not reduced the number of hot car deaths, perhaps because of an average price of $400 (car seat)

● Newer cars have motion detection built in (e.g., 2017 GMC Acadia, BMW), but with an average age of 11.5 years most cars in use today do not have this feature

Parents want peace of mind… … and newer solutions do not eliminate the issue

● Small device is simply left in the car

● Temperature and two motion sensors create an alert

○ Picture of car interior, temperature and elapsed time are transmitted to subscribers’ phones via the cloud

○ Subscriber can alert people near the car

● Easy to use because there is no need to pair a phone or key fob to it. Simply provide contact numbers for the SMS text notification.

● Does not depend on the child being in a car seat

● Allows you to see your car interior remotely
