Battle Born Hall at the Nevada State Capitol Carson City, NV

Blazing Trails The story of Nevada and the role it played in building the nation is one that every resident feels proud to own and share. After Nevada’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Battle Born Hall in the State Capitol was identified as the best place to continue to commemorate the founding of the state. Exhibits in the Hall had served the Capitol well for more than 25 years, but it was time for a makeover.

APA worked with stakeholders to develop a concept that highlights the state’s pioneering spirit. The design of the free-standing exhibit stations respect the monumental nature of the Hall and take into consideration universal accessibility. At each station, visitors get hands-on with Nevada’s trailblazing history. A rich mix of artifacts, interactives and participatory experiences invite visitors to explore the myriad of ways in which Nevada has always been ahead of the curve.
