Sir, During our plant visit at BPI on September 17, 2015, we have discussed the following with sir Allen and the other representatives of Motolite: Temperature is the major cause of the decrease of lifespan of VRLA battery cell. According to their graph, VRLA batteries have 10-15 years lifespan @ 25degrees Celsius but our battery rooms have an average of 32 degrees Celsius decreasing the life span of our batteries to just 5years or less. To fully utilize the VRLA battery of 10-15 years , our battery rooms must be equipped with air-condition. Motolite also told us that Flooded type is more suitable in our current environment but is not maintenance free. Excessive rise of temperature may also cause the plastic casing of VRLA to expand and may damage its sealing inside that may cause leakage. Discussed the test conducted on VRLA batteries and procedures Motolite stated that Boost voltage is 138V and float voltage is 135V. They also suggested refraining from boosting the VRLA battery bank. Conducting load test monthly may also affect the lifespan of the VRLA batteries. They also want to survey their VRLA battery bank with low load (4 Amps) that has voltage that drops from 135V to 125V in an hour. They have graph shown in their presentation that indicates certain voltage drop from a certain load in one hour. They also told us to mind the individual cell with low voltage (below the specs during float). We also ask for a procedure on how to charge the particular cell. (to be discussed) They also suggested the use of torque wrench properly tightened the intercell connectors.

Sir,

During our plant visit at BPI on September 17, 2015, we have discussed the following with sir Allen and the other representatives of Motolite:

Temperature is the major cause of the decrease of lifespan of VRLA battery cell. According to their graph, VRLA batteries have 10-15 years lifespan @ 25degrees Celsius but our

battery rooms have an average of 32 degrees Celsius decreasing the life span of our batteries to just 5years or less.

They also want to survey their VRLA battery bank with low load (4 Amps) that has voltage that

drops from 135V to 125V in an hour. They have graph shown in their presentation that indicates certain voltage drop from a certain load in one hour.

They also told us to mind the individual cell with low voltage (below the specs during float). We also ask for a procedure on how to charge the particular cell. (to be discussed)

They also suggested the use of torque wrench properly tightened the intercell connectors.

Discussed acceptance test on site and on plant It is not yet decided which test is to be conducted in plant and on site.(to be discussed) They agree to perform CONDUCTANCE TEST and INTERNAL RESISTANCE TEST. They agree to conduct test QUARTERLY to Motolite VRLA battery banks that is within their 2

years warranty. They also agree to install a bus bar on the battery rack as shown below.

They requested for additional images to provide to their design team.
