The amazing and gigantic Year 6 mini-fete is set to spring to life again this Friday, 25 th November around school. This much-loved event showcases the creative and organisational talents of our Year 6 students, while raising funds for important school improvements. There are a huge range of activities and stalls this year, including the ever-popular haunted house, so be sure to send the kids along with some coins for spending money. Everyone is most welcome and we would love to see families come along to enjoy the fun with their children. Year 6 only will be in free dress, while the remainder of the school is expected to wear normal school uniform on the day. I can’t wait! P&C The next P&C meeting will be this Wednesday, 23 rd November in the school library starting at 6.45pm. Hopefully we will see you there. Speaking of our wonderful P&C, they have recently purchased all new roller blinds for Wattle and Banksia blocks, worth over $10,000. After having new doors installed, both blocks were without blinds, so this support is very timely and appreciated by staff and students alike. This is your fundraising efforts making a real difference to your school! Keep your eyes open for more great P&C initiatives in coming weeks. Filling our buckets We have been talking about how doing good things for others helps to make them feel good (which means their bucket is filling up), and in so doing, you also help to fill up your own bucket. One good deed or act of kindness helps to fill the buckets of everyone involved. Kids can choose every day (as can all of us) whether to be bucket fillers or bucket emptiers – thankfully we have an enormous number of kids at our school who always try so hard to fill everyone’s buckets! The more our bucket fills, the better able we are to handle bad things happening, so a full bucket is vital for maintaining a happy and positive outlook. Talk to your children about this and encourage them to do the little things to make people happy. A smile, a kind word, or a special effort all make a world of difference! Riddle of the week This week’s riddle is: The more you give, the smaller I go. The more you take away from me, the bigger I grow. What am I? Last week’s riddle: I have a thumb and four fingers, but I am not alive. What am I? CHRISTMAS MEAL DEAL. The canteen is having it’s last meal deal for 2016 and it will be a Christmas meal deal. Notes went out last week. IT WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY 1st DECEMBER 2016. Notes and money MUST BE TO THE CANTEEN BY TUESDAY 29th NOVEMBER. NO OTHER HOT FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THIS DAY. If your child did not receive a note there are spare available at the canteen. Just call in to get a copy. This is a very popular meal deal and it is a great way to celebrate the end of term and Christmas. PLEASE GET YOUR CHILD’S NOTE IN BY THE DUE TIME so we can organise the food and surprises. NO LATE ORDERS CAN BE ACCEPTED. WE HAVE BEEN AVISED BY OUR SUPPLIER OF McCAIN PIZZAS that there is a problem at the factory and they have no stock available at the moment, so until further notice we have had to take pizzas off our menu. I will let you know when they will be available. We have plenty of other delicious items for lunch available at the canteen. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CANTEEN WILL NOT BE OPERATING THIS FRIDAY THE 25th NOVEMBER AS IT IS THE MINI FETE AND THERE WILL BE LOTS OF GREAT FOOD AVAILABLE THERE. WE WILL BE OPEN ON MONDAY 28th as usual. Year 6 Mini-fete Friday 25th November

11.15 to 1pm

Year 6 have been busily organising their stalls for the Year 6 mini-fete. Students will need to bring money to spend at the mini-fete If you could save your spare change and give that to your child it would be appreciated by Year 6. Lots of coin is great but stalls will also accept notes. Money raised goes to a gift for the school Thank you Year 6
