Announcement for Senior Class Trip
Attention BCHS Seniors! We are currently accepting down payments for your Senior Class Trip to Orlando, Florida. The down payment is $200 and must be turned in to Mrs. Erwin during your lunch by Wednesday, November 5
th. After this date down
payments cannot be refunded! There will be a meeting with seniors attending the trip and their parents on Thursday, November 13
th at 6:00 in the
school library. We must have 40 paying participants for this trip to be scheduled. Senior parents are welcome to attend this trip. They must have an approved criminal background check on file and their deposit paid to Mrs. Erwin by the 5
th. We are still in
the process of obtaining bids and information from local tour guides, but as for now the trip is scheduled for the 3
rd week in April. It will be for 5 days and 4
nights and includes a visit to the beach, Universal Studios, and much more. Be sure to be listening to your morning announcements for more information. Please see Mrs. Erwin if you have any questions.

The BCHS Boys and Girls soccer teams invite you to enjoy “Breakfast for Supper”, Thursday October 23rd from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Ramsey Building, Main Street Owingsville. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, bacon and eggs are on the menu. Tickets are $5 each available from any soccer player and coach, or at the door. There will also be an auction starting at 5:30. Proceeds benefit the BCHS Girls and Boys soccer teams.

The purpose of the SBDM council is to pass policies to improve the learning environment at our school as well as to improve the quality of instruction that is being delivered to the students in our school.
The council meets regularly on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM in the library.
Anyone interested in building up the Bath County Community Arts Council, we will have a meeting on Tuesday Oct. 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Bath County Middle School Art Room (rm 107). We welcome any ideas and suggestions for promoting all forms of "The Arts" in Bath County. This is not just limited to school employees. Invite your friend and neighbors. Let's work together to bring "The Arts" to Bath County

You may also register by calling 800-585-6781 or register at the door. NCAA Eligibility Center – It’s time for the college-bound athletes to register with the NCAA Eligibility
Center.
Who Should Register? Any current high school sophomore, junior, or senior who wishes to participate in
collegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or II college or university. How does registration work? Students may access the site at www.eligibilitycenter.org. Then click on “Enter
Here” for NCAA college- bound student athletes, then click on the “New Account” link in the upper right corner.
From there, simply follow the prompts. What’s next? Students must have their ACT scores sent to the NCAA Eligibility center by entering the code ‘9999’
on the test registration form. All scores must be sent directly from the testing agency, as test scores on the high
school transcript will not be accepted.
MSU CRAFT ACADEMY
The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Math is a dual-credit residential high school for academically exceptional Kentucky
students, located on the campus of Morehead State University. A college level curriculum will allow students to finish high school while also
completing two years of university coursework. The academic rigor of Craft Academy will challenge students to excel at the highest level.
The cost of tuition, room, and meal plan are covered by the Academy. For more information, please visit the website at

This year’s sophomore class (class of 2017) is eligible to apply. Coursework will begin in the Fall of 2015, and students will complete the
remaining 2 years of high school at the Academy while earning college credit.
Admission requirements:
1. Be a current resident of KY.
2. Be a high school sophomore
3. Complete Geometry, Algebra I and Algebra II prior to enrollment
4. Score a minimum 22 math on the ACT or minimum 520 on the SAT
5. Submit a completed online application and all required materials no later than Feb. 1, 2015
Application/Selection timeline: Class of 2017
1. Application deadline is Feb. 1, 2015
2. Students selected for interviews will be notified by Feb. 9, 2015
3. Interviews will be held Feb. 21, 2015 from 8:30am – 4:30pm
4. Selections will be made by March 1, 2015
5. 60 high school sophomores will be selected to begin the Fall 2015 semester at Craft Academy as high school juniors.
KSBA Scholarship for seniors now available on the Guidance Office scholarship board. Eligible seniors are those who would be
the first members of their immediate families to go to college.
