Nano-materials are important in many diverse areas, from basic research to variousapplications in electronics, biochemical sensors, catalysis and energy. They have emerged assustainable alternatives to conventional materials, as robust, high surface areaheterogeneous catalysts and catalyst supports. The nano-sized particles increase theexposed surface area of the active component of the catalyst, thereby enhancing the contactbetween reactants and catalyst dramatically and mimicking the homogeneous catalysts. Inthis poster, we will present how to design advanced nano-catalyst system and tune thecatalytic activity & selectivity by controlling the shape and size of the nanoparticles as well ascatalyst support
1-4 and their application in green chemistry.
5 We will also present our newly
discover fibrous nano-silica (KCC-1)6and nano-metal oxides (KCC-2).
