Function, sectionProportional flow control valves of type 2FRE feature a 2way function. They can control a flow, which is determined by an electrical command value, with pressure and temperature compensation. They basically consist of housing (), proportional solenoid with inductive position transducer (2), metering orifice (3), pressure compensator (4) and optional check valve (5). Proportional flow control valve type 2FRE 6 B-2X/.K4RV (without external closing, with check valve) The setting of the flow is determined by the setting (0 to 00 %) on the command value potentiometer. The selected command value causes metering orifice (3) to be adjusted via the amplifier and the proportional solenoid. The inductive position transducer senses the position of metering orifice (3). Any deviations from the command value are corrected by the closed-loop position control. Pressure compensator (4) keeps the pressure differential across metering orifice (3) always at a constant value. This ensures load-compensation of the flow. The low temperature drift is a result of the favourable design of the metering orifice. At a command value of 0 % the metering orifice is closed. In the event of a power failure or cable break on the inductive position transducer, the metering orifice closes. Starting from a 0 % command value, a jump-free start-up is possible. The metering orifice can be opened and closed with a delay provided by two ramps in the electrical amplifier. Check valve (5) allows the free return flow from B to A. The supply and return flow to and from the actuator can be controlled with the help of an additional rectifier sandwich plate of type Z4S 6 under the proportional flow control valve. Proportional flow control valve type 2FRE 6 A-2X/.K4MV (with external closing, without check valve) In principle, the function of this valve is the same as that of valve type 2FRE 6 B-2X/.K4RV. To suppress the start-up jump when metering orifice (3) is open (command value > 0 %), closing of pressure compensator (4) is provided via port P (6). There is no internal connection between port A and pressure compensator (4). The pressure in P upstream of directional valve (8) acts on pressure compensator (4) and holds it in the closed position against the force of spring (7). When directional valve (8) is switched from P to B, pressure compensator (4) moves from the closed position to the control position, thus preventing a start-up jump.

The cleanliness classes specified for components must be adhered to in hydraulic systems. Effective filtration prevents malfunction and, at the same time, prolongs the service life of components. For the selection of filters, see data sheets RE 50070, RE 50076, RE 5008, RE 0086 and RE 50088.

Due to tolerances of the oscillator frequency (position transducer supply), amplifiers are subject to tolerances. When installing new systems or replacing an amplifier, the amplifier settings may have to be adjusted.

Functional descriptionGeneral These amplifier modules can be snapped onto top hat rails to EN 60715. The electrical connections are are established by means of screw terminals. The modules are operated using 24 VDC. Power supply unit [1] The amplifier modules comprise a power supply unit with an inrush current limiter. It provides all the internally required positive and negative supply voltages. The inrush current limiter prevents high inrush current peaks. Command value preselection The internal command value signal is generated from the sum[3]oftheexternalcommandvaluesignalappliedtodifferential input [2] and the zero point offset (zero point potentiometer Zw). A positive command value results in a current increase in the solenoid and, thereby an increase in pressure at the valve. Enable function [11] The enable function is used to enable the current output stages and to pass the internal command value signal on to the ramp generator. A LED on the front panel indicates the enable signal. When the enable is activated, the internal command value (an applied optional command value) changes according to the set ramp time. As a result of this, the valve does not open suddenly when activated. Ramp generator [4] The ramp generator limits the gradient of the control variable. Duetotheamplitudeattenuator,theramptimeisnotextended or shortened. Engineering notes / maintenance guidelines / additional informationThe amplifier module may only be wired when disconnected from the power supply! Do not lay cables in the vicinity of power cables! Do not use free-wheeling diodes in solenoid cables! The distance to antenna cables, radio devices and radar systems must be at least 1 meter! Always shield command value and position transducer cables; connect the shield to protective earth (PE) on the module side! In individual cases (e.g. PE subject to strong interference), it may be required to connect the shield of the position transducer cable directly to the LO of the amplifier module; leave the other end open (risk of earth loops). Recommendation: Also shield solenoid cables! For solenoid cables up to 50 m long, use cable type LiYCY 1.5 mm2! In case of longer lengths, please consult us!

Do not connect terminal of the position transducer to PE Use relays with gold-plated contacts for passing on command values (small voltages, small currents)! Function, sectionAllgemeines Proportional pressure relief valves of type DBET are remote control valves of poppet design and are used to limit a system pressure. They are actuated by a proportional solenoid with central thread and detachable coil. The inner chamber of the solenoid is connected with port T or Y and is filled with hydraulic fluid. These valves can be used to infinitely vary the system pressure to be limited in dependence upon the electrical command value. The valves basically consist of housing (1), proportional solenoid (2), valve seat (3) and valve poppet (4). Basic principle Toadjustthesystempressure,acommandvalueisprovided to the control electronics. Depending on this command value, the electronics applies an electric current to the solenoid coil. The proportional solenoid converts the electric current into a mechanical force, which acts via armature plunger (5) to valve poppet (4). Valve poppet (4) is pressed on valve seat (3) and closes the connection between port P and T or Y. When the hydraulic force that acts on valve poppet (4) is equal to the magnetic force, the valve regulates the set pressure by lifting valve poppet (4) off valve seat (3) thus allowing hydraulic fluid to flow from port P to T or Y. With a zero command value the control electronics applies only a minimum control current to proportional solenoid (2), which results in the minimum pressure.

Type DBETE with integrated electronics (OBE) In terms of function and design, these valves correspond to type DBET. In addition, housing (6) with the control electronics is provided on the proportional solenoid. The supply and command value voltage is applied to component plug (7). The command value/pressure characteristic curve is finetuned in the factory with low manufacturing tolerances. For further details on the control electronics, see pages 6 and 8.

Integrated electronics (OBE) of type DBETEFunction The electronics is supplied with voltage via connections A and B. The command value is applied to differential amplifier connections D and E. With the help of the characteristic curve generator, the commandvalue/solenoidcurrentcharacteristiccurveisadjusted to the valve so that non-linearities in the hydraulics are compensated for and a linear command value/pressure characteristic curve is obtained. The current regulator regulates the solenoid current independently of the solenoid coil resistance. Block circuit diagram The power stage of the electronics for controlling the proportional solenoid is a chopper amplifier with a clock frequency of ca. 180 Hz to 400 Hz. The output signal is pulse-widthmodulated (PWM). For testing the solenoid current, a voltage, which is proportional to the solenoid current, can be measured on the plug-in connector between Pin F(+) and Pin C(). 1 mV corresponds to a solenoid current of 1 mA.
