Basics of Using the Mouse

Fusion 360 Tutorial

You need a copy of the Fusion Mouse Control Diagram to use with this tutorial

Firstly download the Demo Cube Fusion file

from the tutorials webpage (click here) and

save it to your computer.

Open Fusion 360 software and select New Design From

File. Navigate to where you saved the Demo Cube.f3d

file and click to open it and it will appear as below.

Press on the mouse roller to hold it down then move the cube

and workspace grid back and forth and up and down.

Roll the mouse roller to zoom in and out on the cube

Move your mouse pointer near to the screen

view cube and left click click the HOME icon

Make sure you can do both

methods to ORBIT .

Then spend a couple of minutes

practising all the mouse moves.

The Left Click of the mouse is used to

select objects and Fusion functions.

Left click the cube to select it – you will

see it turn blue to show it is selected.

Now left click on the RIGHT Face on the

Fusion VIEW CUBE—you will see the CUBE

drawing go into RIGHT face view too.

ORBIT ROUND THE WORKSPACE to

view the drawing at different angles.

There are 2 methods, try them both:

Left click one of the

letters to select it.

1) Move the mouse over the VIEW CUBE (top

right of screen), left click and HOLD DOWN the

LEFT MOUSE button, move the cube and you

will see the screen rotate.

2) HOLD DOWN the keyboard SHIFT key + at the

same time, HOLD DOWN the mouse ROLLER,

move the mouse around to rotate the screen.
