DISPLAY/ VIDEO PROBLEM

Check for:

[ ] No backlight, display ok [ ] No OSD/No Menu- check if TV is in public mode

[ ] No display, backlight ok [ ] Very dark picture

[ ] Inverted Picture [ ] Distorted Picture

[ ] Lines in picture [ ] Dark picture on left or right side of the screen

[ ] Inaccurate color [ ] Fine line in Picture

REPAIR LCD Control Unit AV/Terminal Unit Main Unit LCD Panel

Note: Check for damaged LVDS cable

Check all INPUTS for video Check LCD Test Patterns in Service Mode; confirm video is ok on test patterns (no lines, bad pixels or distortion)

Confirm public mode is reset and perform Industry Init

NO PICTURE / SOUND OKAY

[ ] Confirm Backlight is on, if no backlight, Inverter Unit or LCD Panel are bad

[ ] Confirm Connections on Inverter Unit, also check for loose ground screws

REPAIR AV/Terminal Unit Main Unit

Note: Check all INPUTS, if video ok on any input, confirm menu settings for the non- working input Check Signal Source - Cable/Cable Box, DVD, Video Game, Signal Distribution device.

SOUND PROBLEM

[ ] Confirm Distorted Audio

[ ] Check for Low Audio

[ ] N o A udio – Check “ Variable” selection in “ Output Select” programming- should be “ Fixed”

[ ] Confirm latest version of Firmware

REPAIR AV/Terminal Unit Main Unit

Note: Check speaker wires for loose connection/damage Check all INPUTS Check Signal Source - Cable/Cable Box, DVD, Video Game, Signal Distribution device

REMOTE CONTROL UNIT DOES NOT OPERATE

[ ] Confirm TV responds to remote

[ ] Check FUNCTION selection on Remote is set correctly to TV

[ ] Check batteries are inserted correctly

[ ] Confirm Battery strength

[ ] Check for damaged cables to RC/LED unit

[ ] Check for any fluorescent light/ IR interference near the remote control sensor3

[ ] Confirm latest version of Firmware

REPAIR Update Firmware Install IR Filter

Note: Unplug TV for 20sec, then using remote, power TV on, if unit powers on Remote ok, there is some interference in TV installation environment.

5 Place front of remote flush against IR sensor of TV (trying to block any interference), confirm function of remote, if ok, there is some interference in TV installation

DEMO MODE IS ON

Translucent OSD message may appear across the top of TV screen indicating the LCD size class and other TV specifications. (ex. “40” CLASS ASV SUPERLUCENT PANEL FULL HD 1080P UD SPECTRAL CONTRAST ENGINE”)

REPAIR Turn DEMO mode off
