    The Company

Ofcially launched in 2005 by Kody Bateman

    Our two-fold mission

    1. Help millions of people act on their promptings2. Provide a vehicle for nancial freedom

    Why SendOutCards?

SendOutCards Founder and CEO Kody Bateman rst formed a vision to help othersact on their positive promptings when his older brother Kris passed away. When mov-ing away from home after college, Kody had a strong feeling a prompting to get

out of his car, hug his older brother, and say goodbye. He didnt, and instead honkedthe horn, waved, and headed off to New York. Kody passed up what turned out to behis last opportunity to connect with his brother, and he never forgot that lesson. WhenKris died in an accident two months later, Kody made a promise that he would alwaysact on promptings and help others do the same. SendOutCards was formed from thatsimple promise, and now this innovative company helps thousands of people aroundthe world act on their promptings every day.

    Why Network Marketing?

Shortly before his death, Kris had a prompting he needed life insurance. Kris startedto look at different companies and eventually he found a friend who was selling termlife insurance. His friend sat down in his living room and gave him a presentation forthe A.L. Williams company, selling term life insurance through network marketing. Thispresentation would come to change both Kodys and Kris lives forever.

Kris friend not only showed him the benets of buying term life insurance and invest-ing the difference, but also presented him the opportunity to help others do the same and get paid for it! Kris was so excited, not just to protect his family, but also at theopportunity to build a team of people from which he could earn residual income.I remember seeing the light of hope in his eyes, Kody said. He had found a vehiclefor nancial freedom, and he was excited about it.

In giving his rst opportunity meeting, Kris rst exposed Kody to network marketing.

Kody and his wife Jodi immediately saw that network marketing could be their vehicleto nancial independence.

SendOutCards provides that opportunity. There is no greater gift on the planet thatyou can give anybody than the opportunity to create residual income to createnancial independence in their life, Kody said.

Kody still focuses on showing others the numerous opportunities that Kris rst showedto him, building SendOutCards to help others reach their goals. Kris was never able

to realize his dream because he died unexpectedly, but I do have that opportunity, said Kody. In fact, I have a responsibility to share it with the world. That is why wehave a two-fold mission at SendOutCards. One is to help people act on their prompt-ings every day. Two is to provide people with a vehicle for nancial freedom. We callthat making a living through giving.

    Important Inormation Every

Independent Distributor Should KnowIn order to help you understand and adhere to SendOutCards Policies and Proce-dures, and to help you present the SendOutCards Business Opportunity fairly and ac-curately to your prospects, we have compiled a list of important facts that every Send-OutCards ID and MD should know:1. The Certied Trainer position is a paid-for business opportunity to earn $40 eachtime a SendOutCards Marketing Distributor is trained by a Certied Trainer. There is no

other commission structure for a Certied Trainer and it is not necessary to be a Dis-tributor in order to be a Certied Trainer.2. The SendOutCards Independent Distributor position has no initial fee, cost or in-vestment, only a refundable deposit. In some states, as listed in the Independent Dis-tributors Application and Agreement, the deposit is not required.3. All Independent Distributors may purchase the optional Marketing DistributorPackage, consisting of training and various important administrative services.

Independent Distributors, whether or not they have purchased the optional MarketingDistributor Package, receive the same commissions and bonuses.4. A new Distributors consideration of making the optional purchase of the MarketingDistributor Package is strongly recommended. Earning statistics consistently demon-strate that SendOutCards Independent Distributors who have purchased the optionalMarketing Distributor Package earn, on average, three times the monthly income ofthose Independent Distributors who have not received the training available throughthe Marketing Distributor Package.

    5. Providing prospective Independent Distributors with copies of checks or statementsof income earned by another SendOutCards Distributor, and the use of any charts orincome projections, is strictly prohibited by SendOutCards Policies and Procedures andis binding upon all SendOutCards Independent Distributors. Only SendOutCards pub-lished, commission payout gures included with every SendOutCards Sales Kit may beutilized in discussions with prospective SendOutCards Independent Distributors.

    6. SendOutCards offers online greeting card and gift services as well as photo prod-

ucts found in the Photo Store, throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, NewZealand, Ireland, U.K. and Singapore (or any countries added since the printing of thismanual). SendOutCards has licensed as a corporation and with various state publiccommissions in all states where required to do so. Not every state requires SendOut-Cards to maintain a corporate license or to be licensed to provide services.7. As a SendOutCards Distributor you may only utilize literature and sales aids provid-ed by SendOutCards. You should presume that any other literature and sales aids thatyou have obtained or which may become available to you are not approved for youruse. To utilize non-SendOutCards literature and sales aids is a violation of SendOut-Cards Policies and Procedures and may result in your termination as a SendOutCardsDistributor.8. Paying for your customers without their consent (slam) is strictly prohibited. If youbuy in or pay for a customer, you will be terminated as a Distributor. In addition, Send-OutCards will seek to recover from IDs who slam any nes levied on SendOutCards forsuch activity.

    Buying Customers is Prohibited

4.3 - Bonus Buying ProhibitedBonus buying is strictly and absolutely prohibited. Bonus buying includes: (a) the en-rollment of individuals or entities without the knowledge of and/or execution of anIndependent Distributor Application and Agreement by such individuals or entities; (b)the fraudulent enrollment of an individual or entity as a Distributor or Customer; (c) theenrollment or attempted enrollment of non-existent individuals or entities as Indepen-dent distributors or Customers (phantoms); (d) the use of a credit card by or on behalfof a Distributor or Customer when the Distributor or Customer is not the account hold-

er of such credit card; (e) Purchasing SendOutCards merchandise or services on behalfof another Distributor or Customer, or under another Distributors or Customers I.D.number, to qualify for commissions or bonuses.

    9. There are only two commissionable events for SendOutCards Independent Distribu-tors: The obtaining of new SendOutCards customers, and customer SOC Products andServices usage. Neither the sponsoring of a new SendOutCards Independent Distribu-tor nor the purchase of the optional Marketing Distributor Package results in commis-sions or bonuses being paid.

    Bus 90 For Lie

    - Celeste Casey

SendOutCards really changed my life if I wasnt do-ing it for a business, I would still be doing it every dayanyway, says Celeste Casey. T.C. has been her best

friend since she was four years old. T.C.s grandpa Garyrecently passed away. T.C. and Celestes families havebeen incredibly close for as long as she can remem-ber. Gary was even their bus driver from kindergartenthrough high school!

Not long after Gary died, Celeste was lying in bedthinking of T.C. and her family, when she felt a prompt-ing. Her heart started pounding. Celeste realized it was

11:40 p.m., and she wanted to send a card. She had just 20 minutes to get a card sentout before the SendOutCards deadline of midnight for the next days cards. Celeste

jumped out of bed and rushed to her computer. She put together a beautiful heartfeltcard, complete with a picture of Gary and a bus, #90 Garys bus number.

A few days later, Celeste received an email from T.C. The day her card arrived, T.C.had just picked up her mother and grandmother, Garys wife, from the airport.

That card changed three lives at one time, Celeste said. It meant so much to those

women. That sealed the deal for me. I will never, ever ignore another prompting to getup and send a card.

    It Started With a Movie

    - Dennis Ward

Dennis Wards initial motivation for building aSendOutCards business was simply to makeenough money to spoil his grandchildren a bit.

Three years ago, when I rst started with Send-OutCards, I got my rst commission check. Ithought, This is a great business! Even if all Icould ever make was enough money to takemy grandkids to the movies each month and spoilthem with popcorn and candy, this would be anawesome business. So he cashed his commissioncheck, and used it to take four of his grandchil-dren to the movies.

A few months went by, and he found that not only could he take the grandkids to themovies, he could also make a car payment with his check from SendOutCards. A fewmonths later, he discovered he could take the grandkids to the movies, make his carpayment, and also pay his mortgage.

A couple of months later, I got a text from Burke Christensen, congratulating meon a $600 day. Naturally I asked, What happened? He told me they brought fourpeople in that day. My rst thought was to feel a little guilty because I wasnt there

to own that money. However, my second thought reassured me: Thats how its sup-posed to be. Im supposed to bring people in, they bring people in, and I get paid.Thats my story with SendOutCards, and thats what works for me.

    Living a Lie o Freedom

    - Ben Fitts

Ben Fitts has a SendOutCards story that begins likemost: He was married, had a full-time job, and had

another part-time home business. I never intended todo SendOutCards as an actual business, Ben said. Isaw it as a way to grow my other business. Originally,it was a quick, easy, and cost-effective way to get morereferrals and repeat sales.

Then a funny thing happened, Ben said. A younglady named Diane Walker received a birthday card fromme. We had been working together in my other busi-

ness, become trainers, and exchanged birthdays andaddresses with one another. I started sending birthdaycards to her to show my appreciation for all she did. Atthe time, the only gifts SendOutCards had were $25 gift cards that included 20 pointsand enough postage to send 10 cards. Thats what I sent Diane and everyone else Iwas sending birthday cards to. When Diane received my card she called and asked,What are you trying to recruit me into? I dont remember my exact answer but it wassomething along the line of, Nothing, dont worry about it. I just wanted to send youa birthday card.

Six weeks later Ben got another call from Diane. She said it was eatingaway at her that Ben had spent $25 on a gift for her, so she used it to see what Send-OutCards was all about.

She told me that as soon as she logged onto SendOutCards, she immediatelyfell in love with it. She noticed there was an opportunity associated with it, and wasnaturally curious, Ben said.

Dianes curiosity had piqued Bens as well and he decided to start working his ownSendOutCards business in earnest. It turned out to be a great move, as his old busi-

    ness shut down shortly thereafter.

SendOutCards has impacted my life in so many positive ways, Ben said. It hashelped me grow personally from attending the seminars and conventions. Ive metsome of the best people in the world, read awesome books from the SendOutCardsonline selection, and Ive had the opportunity to share our cards with all types of peo-ple. In my seven years with SendOutCards, many things have changed in my life, butSendOutCards has been there the whole time. I dont know where I would be today ifnot for SendOutCards.

I truly live a life of freedom, I dont have to set an alarm clock and I dont hate goingto work. I have the freedom to choose where and when I work. How many other peo-ple have that exibility? This is why, to me, SendOutCards truly means freedom.

    From Homeless to Hope

    - Tim & Nicole Mancuso

Joining the SendOutCards family was aonce, twice, third times the charm for the

Mancuso family. In the beginning, Timshowed the SendOutCards opportunityto his wife Nicole. Tim had been laid offthree times, but had just landed a greatnew job, so Nicole was less than enthusi-astic about him spending time on work-ing a SendOutCards business.

I wanted him to focus on the new job

while I homeschooled our children,Nicole said. A deeply religious family, the couple prayed about it and feltprompted to go ahead with the business opportunity. So in November 2008 theyspent the last of their savings to join SendOutCards. In one months time, Timwas laid off. Although the couple had reached the rank of Senior Manager, theylost their home and had to move in with friends. Tim soon found another job, butit took the focus off building their SendOutCards business.

In November of 2009 I was picking up some Thanksgiving food a friend was kindenough to give us and found myself pleading with God, HELP US! I was met with a

strange feeling, Nicole said. It felt like we had already been given the answer.

Tim was laid off again in January. This time, though, the couple took the time andenergy to refocus on their SendOutCards business, and ended up winning the trip toCancun in April 2010. Every good thing led to another, Nicole said. A year after weofcially became homeless, we found ourselves moving into our own home.

Despite their success in SendOutCards, their friends and family kept encouraging thecouple to nd a real job, temporarily once again distracting them from their focus on

    SendOutCards.

We won the trip in 2011 to Florida, Nicole said. It was there that we both felt cleardirection to focus on our business rst and foremost, and we have been full-time withSendOutCards from that time. We still have a lot to do. But now we have a vision andhope for our future. We look forward to helping others nd freedom and share thehope we have found, through God and SendOutCards, for their own futures. We willbe Eagles in SendOutCards we will be free!

    Hope in Stressul Times

    - Kim Welch

In 2009 Kim Welch had just started anew and passionate career in life in-

surance a career that was demand-ing 60 hours a week. She was earn-ing $10,000 a month but becomingmore ill as days clicked by. The stressof her job brought on a bad are ofulcerative colitis. Before long, Kim wasuninsurable and eventually admittedto the hospital, away from her childrenand her husband Dave.

Working in her ofce, shed heardabout SendOutCards as a tool for her insurance business. She wasnt interested, partlybecause of her negative impression of multilevel marketing. But while she was in thehospital, Kim received a follow-up call about SendOutCards. A few days later a heart-felt card showed up in the mail along with an issue of a magazine full of articlesabout SendOutCards. Dave read it, Kim read it, and they signed up the next day.

It totally opened up my eyes to a way to work from home without all the stressI was experiencing in my full-time job, which also took me away from myhusband and two young daughters, she said.

Now an Executive, Kim said she wonders where shed be today if SendOutCardshadnt come along. It provided us with much-needed income at a time when I wasput on medical leave from my full-time job. It gave us a chance to focus on the positivethings we could be grateful for in spite of being in a difcult situation, and it allowed usto have hope in a time that was very scary for us, she said.
