between computer and the user. Without operating system, nosoftware program can run.

Hardware and software need a way tocommunicate with each other, and they do so by usingsystem resources. Operating system contains number ofutilities for managing disk drives, printer and other

When arranging books, it is better to keep books ondifferent subjects in different shelves as this makes it easier

to find a book..

Directories are similar to these shelves whereyou can put as many related documents asyou want. Computer directories are alsocalled folders. Giving meaningful and relevantnames to different folders helps you to find

the required documents faster.
