Due to it being a major thoroughfare in the south and being very accessible for the commuting public, it’s no surprise why a lot of today’s most popular supermalls are found within the part. SM Southmall, Robinson’s Place Las Pinas, Alabang Town Center and Festival Mall are all found in close proximity with each other in the area. Established business districts and techno parks like Spectrum Business District, Madrigal Business Park and Northgate Cyberzone also settled their operations in Alabang which further boosted its employment opportunities.

This year, it will also benefit from the major infrastructure projects that link Alabang to other areas such as The Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex); South Luzon Expressway-Daang Hari Road; Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX); and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). These roads shall offer new routes to minimize travelling time going to one’s desired destination without being caught up by a traffic jam in Metro Manila.

Based on a study conducted by an independent property research firm, the rise of the Southern Manila West Growth Area (WGA) in which Alabang is part of (as it is on the western side of southern Metro Manila) paves the way for this part of the metropolis to be the next CBD. It revealed that the Alabang area is a promising location for future property investments as property values may soar to around P100,000 per square meter or higher by 2019.
The Southern Manila West Growth Area was identified based on an active increase in historical market values posting an average of 20% per year since 2009. For the next 5 years, it is expected to rise from 10 – 15% but it could be notches higher.
