BARREL AGED COCKTAILS

El Presidente 19-

Havana 7yo, Cointreau, Dolin Rouge, aged for 3 months in oak, stirred down and served with a bitter infused ice sphere, over a bed of moss with orange smog.

Tequila Refashion 18-

Tromba Blanco, barrel aged for three months (Fino rinse), served old

fashion style with orange bitters, cinnamon and sugar.

Negroni 18-

Beefeater, Dolin Rouge, Campari, barrel aged for 2 months (Oloroso rinse),

served old fashion style with house made ice sphere.

Porthole Infused

A Porthole infuser is a new devise designed to let the cocktail infuse at the table and

evolve over time. It was created for The Aviary in Chicago winner of multiple awards

including best cocktail bar in the world 2014 (Tales). The following cocktails are

designed to share (2) though are far from you classic jug style share cocktail.

made honeycomb (from the bee’s on the roof).

and served tall with Hibiscus Soda top and fresh Pomegranate berries.

Laneway Cobbler 18-

Oloroso sherry, Dry Vermouth, Raspberry & Rhubarb Extract, Citrus and

Bitters, Served over crushed ice with berries, strawberries and mint.

That Thing with the Coffee 18-

House Spiced Cognac (Martel VS), coffee liqueur, Ristretto and Caramel

Syrup. Shaken and served straight up.

Polish Grass 19-

Zubrowka, Apple Brandy, fresh pressed apple juice, Bitters. Stirred down

and served old fashion style with apple and cinnamon smoke. .

The Laneway Signature Serve

Tequila Mocking Bird 22-

Don Julio Blanco, Lemon, Sugar, Passionfruit, Quail Egg and Peychauds

bitters. Shaken and served over rocks in a bird cage with Mescal smog.

Dead Man Tells No Tales 22-

Goslings, Aperol, Prunelle, Lime, Orgeat Syrup. Shaken and served on the

rocks inside a treasure chest, smoked with Orange and Almond woodchips.

Smoking Islands 22-

Talisker 10yo, Bitters, house mage orange blossom water, saffron, smoked

with herbaceous summer fruit tealeaves and stirred down and served in a

smoking vessel with ice sphere on side.

Sin-Ception 22-

Rittenhouse Rye, Martel VS stirred down with Peychards bitters, Truffle,

and citrus oils. Served in a hollowed Absinth ice sphere, accompanied with

an ice-cracking device for your convenience.

Tea Tippler # 3 22-

Hendricks infused with Black Rose tea, lime juice, cranberry/grapefruit

juice, sugar. Served in a vintage teacup with cucumber ribbons, along side a

rose petal and liquid nitrogen smog filled teapot.

Classic Laneway Cocktail 22-

St Germain, Shaken with lime and topped with Sparkling wine and toped

with champagne foam. Served with a side of house made Granita from

Passionfruit, Citrus, Sparkling and Sugar.

Deep amber colour with a fragrant bouquet, a medium bodied beer with balanced hops. Flavourful with citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit and lychee notes and a hint of vanilla and spice.

Windjammer IPA (QLD) 5.8% 9.5-

Windjammer IPA pours a hop-hazed golden copper with a tight, persistent off-white

head. Aromas of fresh lychee, candied orange, resinous pine needles and dried

mango.

REDUCED ALCOHOL BEER

Cascade Premium Light (TAS) 2.8% 6-

Cascade Light is the pure, premium cascade flavour in a light beer. It is produced using ultra high gravity brewing to create a full-bodied low alcohol beer.

Duke All Malt Helles (QLD) 3.5% 8-

Brewed from 100% malted barley, no artificial ingredients or crafty tricks are used to reduce the alcohol content, just traditional brewing techniques and time. Moderate hopping contributes a comfortable bitterness and clean refreshing taste.

Little Creatures Rogers’ Beer (WA) 3.8% 8.5-

Whole hop flowers and toasted malts into a silky session ale like no other. Light, citrus hop notes roll gently into roasted hazelnut, toffee and caramel malt flavours, creating easy-drinking ale of flavour and finesse.

PILSNER

Theresianer Pilsner (Italy) 4.5% 9.5-

Produced with selected Pilsner malt, Saaz hops and low fermented yeast following the traditional recipes. These genuine ingredients are chosen and blended rigorously respecting the Pilsner tradition. It has a pleasant scent of hops and a fresh flavour of barley malt.

Holgate Pilsner (VIC) 5.1% 10-

Brewed with 100% imported Bavarian pilsner malt and Czech Saaz hops and fermented at 10 degrees, this beer has a clean malt palate and grassy, floral hop aroma and flavour. Crisp and refreshing, very session-able.

LAGER

Duke Premium Lager (QLD) 4.8% 9.5-

Filtered lager boasting the classic flavours of continental European beers. The hop and malt characteristics are finely balanced, providing a clean, refreshing palate with a superb dry, crisp finish.

Stone & Wood Pale Lager (NSW) 4.7% 9-

Stone & Wood Pale Lager has a sparkling light colour, and a flavour that strikes a fine balance between its subtle hop aroma and full malt palate with a soft clean finish.

Moon Dog Love Tap (VIC) 5.9% 10.5-

Somewhere between a sessionable lager and a hoppy IPA sits this wonderful double lager. Sweet malt, rich spices and tropical fruit on the palate with floral and dried fruit aromas and a hazy copper colour.

ABBEY ALE

Karmeliet Tripel (Belgium) 8.4% 13.5-

Claimed to be based on a recipe from 1679, this is a very refined and complex golden-to-bronze brew with a fantastic creamy head. With the lightness and freshness of wheat and the creaminess of oats, together with a spicy lemony almost quinine dryness from restrained hopping with Styrian hops and the fruity nature of the house yeast.

BLONDE & GOLDEN ALE

Stone & Wood Pacific Ale (NSW) 4.4% 9-

Brewed using all Australian barley, wheat and Galaxy hops, this ale is cloudy and golden with a big fruity aroma and a refreshing finish. After being dry hopped at the end of fermentation, the Pacific Ale is then drawn straight from the storage tank at the brewery into kegs and bottles.

Bellerose (France) 6.5% 13-

3 hop varieties from 3 continents come together to give this French Blonde a wonderfully complex aroma with distinct citrus and lychee notes. The floral character on the palate gives way to a dry white wine-like finish with a subtle citrus tang.

The Mayne Thing (QLD) 4.6% 10-

Traditional malts and wheat combine to create a smooth, rich and creamy mouthfeel. Citra and Galaxy hops for flavour and aroma — you get a face full of fruit salad. We are pretty sure this will count towards your “5 a day”. (Or not...).

AMERICAN STYLE PALE ALE

Lord Nelson’s Three Sheets (NSW) 4.9% 9.5-

Brewed in one of Sydney’s oldest pubs, the Lord Nelson Hotel, this American Style Pale Ale is medium gold in colour and offers citrus flora’s and aromas, overtones of herbaceous hop characters and a balanced malty dry finish.

Holgate Mt. Macedon Ale (VIC) 4.5% 10-

A new world blend of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops, American Amarillo and Citra hops, balanced by a malt base of Australian Vienna gives this brew a delicate caramel malt flavour complemented by pine and citrus hop aromas.

SPECIALTY GRAIN

Sunshine Coast Rye ESB (QLD) 5.8% 10-

A new take on the classic style of ’Extra Special Bitter’. This big, malty brew has flavours of toffee, caramel and biscuit, complemented by strong, smooth hop bitterness. A healthy dose of rye gives the beer a unique peppery, spicy character.

ENGLISH STYLE PALE ALE

Sunshine Coast Best Bitter (QLD) 4.6% 9.5-

Traditional British Style ‘Bitter Ale’. Caramel malts and East Kent Golding hops give this beer a sweet yet floral aroma developing in to a more caramel heavy palate.

Holgate ESB (VIC) 5.0% 11-

This hand-pumped and naturally conditioned ale follows the English brewers tradition of denoting "Extra Special" beers as having a higher alcohol than a "Mild", with rich and complex malt additions and highly bittered with English hops.

INDIA PALE ALE

2 Birds Bantam IPA (VIC) 4.7% 10-

Two Birds Bantam IPA is a handcrafted, full flavoured, session India Pale Ale. This

copper-coloured beer shows tropical and fruit salad notes, with refined bitterness

which gives it great drinkability. This brew is smooth, clean and fruity. With lower

alcohol than a standard IPA, this lil’ beer punches well above its weight!

Founders Centennial IPA (USA) 7.2% 12.5-

Get ready to bask in the glory of the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the citrus accents from the abundance of dry hopping. This one’s sweet, yet balanced. Malty undertones shake hands with the hop character for a finish that never turns too bitter.

AMBER ALE

2 Birds Sunset Ale (VIC) 4.6% 10-

Brewed using a distinct combination of malts, including pale, wheat and Crystal malts to provide round, rich, toffee notes. The addition of US Citra and Australian Cascade hops adds a twist of grapefruit and tropical notes to balance the biscuity malt base.

ENGLISH STRONG ALE

Lord Nelson’s Old Admiral (NSW) 6.1% 9.5-

Malt driven with hints of mocha and caramel, balanced with generous hop bitterness and aromas of toffee and fruit cake. An interesting ale with complexity from the different specialty malts used; pale malted barley, Crystal malt for caramel flavours and roasted chocolate malt to impart toffee and mocha.

SCOTCH ALE

Founders Dirty Bastard (USA) 8.5% 13.5-

Dark ruby in colour and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude.

SAISON

Saison de Silly (Belgium) 5.3% 10.5-

Saison style top fermentation old brown beer. Its taste is remarkable, light and favourably combined to offer a tone that is both modestly sweetened and fruity, leaving the mouth with a refreshing feel as is constantly asked of it.

BROWN ALE

Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale (England) 5.0% (550ml) 20-

Traditional British brewery with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use, the Nut Brown Ale is relatively dry with a rich amber-brown colour and nutty flavour derived exclusively from small amounts of dark malt. Brown ales are a specialty of northern England. Fermented in ’stone Yorkshire squares’.

PORTER & STOUT

Kooinda Milk Porter (VIC) 4.6% 10.5-

This handcrafted, unfiltered ale is a traditional Porter, black in colour and boasts a thick, rocky, brown head. The ale is brewed with a combination of dark, roasted and chocolate malts and is hopped with the Northern Brewer hop. Flavours of chocolate and roasted coffee with a delicate milk sweetness.

Nail Oatmeal Stout (WA) 6.0% 11-

Brewed with six different malts, the dark malts give a coffee chocolate sweetness on the front palate, which is balanced with a strong finishing bitterness. The rolled oats give a smooth medium body.

Holgate Temptress (VIC) 6.0% 13-

A very tempting twist on the classic robust porter, infused with a dash of rich Dutch cocoa and whole vanilla beans. Luscious chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavours balanced by a hint of vanilla.

WHEAT BEER

Burleigh Brewing HEF (QLD) 5.0% 9.5- Unfiltered wheat beer brewed from only malted barley, malted wheat, water, hops and yeast; boasts the classic German wheat beer characteristics of banana and clove, rich flavours, a bright white head and a smooth, creamy texture.

Feral White (WA) 4.6% 12-

Produced in the true Belgium style with 50% wheat, 50% barley and a Belgium yeast strain. The beer is cloudy and unfiltered with coriander and orange peel added during the boil to contribute to a unique spicy citrus finish.

Blanche de Namur (Belgium) 4.5% 13.5- Pours a classic, hazy lemon-honey colour under a small short lasting, white head, and offers a medium intensity, fresh citrus, coriander and grainy aroma. The beer has a medium-light body, with a flavour profile that offers a light, floral-citrus start, a dry, malty grain and spicy mid-palate, and sweet, fruity finish.
