31/08/2018 Janmashtami Celebration Anganwadi children were invited to witness the celebration. 35 children had come along with their parents and Anganwadi workers. Teachers prepared and gifted Glove puppets, Two-piece puzzles and Matching flash cards to Anganwadi children.

24/08/2018 Face to Face meet was conducted for parents of students from Std I to VIII. Parents were made aware of the websites and about the healthy eating habits. Parents were informed about the academic progress and other details of the students.

26/07/2018 Kala Mahakumbh competition was conducted at zonal level in Prince Ashoka Rajya Gaekwad School. Student Harshvardhan Gadve of std VIII – A participated in one act play. The topic of the one act play was “Beti Bachao”

25/08/2018 Oratory skills competition was conducted at Nalanda International School The topics were “Say no to Plastics” Save Water” Cleanliness is next to Godliness “and Plant a Tree, Plant a Life “. Std II students participated in the competition. Ms. Ritu Airy guided them.

25/08/2018 Captivating Clips competition was conducted at Nalanda International School. Students of Std VIII participated in the activity. Mrs Pallavi Yewale guided them.

07/09/2018 Master Chef Recipe Making Competition was conducted for Parents of Sneh, K.G. Std I and II. Parents had brought corn based cooked item MS. Alka and Ms. Vandana were the judges.

08/09/2018 Poster making competition was conducted at Zenith school the topic was “Technology in Education”. Mr. Sanket guided them.

08/09/2018 Prabhat Rally was organized as a part of Health and Nutrition Activity.A rally was organized by Ms. Jyoti Ms. Anita Mr. Sanket Ms. Rachana along with the students of Std VIII, Sneh & K.G teachers as well as Std I & II teachers Students wore masks, carried banners, performed street played and spread the awareness of health and hygiene with slogans and carried out processions in the Danteshwar area.

Activities in School (Secondary): -

05/07/2018 A workshop was conducted by D.E.O Students of Std. IX attended the workshop. A live programme from 03:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. was shown to the students. They were made aware of the diseases caused by mosquitoes.

16/07/2018 Principal of Baroda Highschool ONGC was invited to give guest lecture on the topic “Memory Goal setting and tips for success in Board Exam”. All the students were listening carefully & interestingly.

08/07/2018 As a part of Health and Nutrition activity label reading competition was conducted for std IX Students were made aware, about the ingredients mentioned on the labels. They were taught to read labels of the food products carefully.

06/08/2018 Poem Recitation competition was conducted for Std VI to IX in Gujarati language as part of house activity.

10/08/2018 Science Exhibition -Utkarsh was conducted by Bal Bhavan at Bal Bhavan.LI-FI wireless communication apps and devices was made by students of std X and IX under the guidance of Ms. Vidya Madhu. Students had made working model using mobile Jack, Solar Panel, battery and LED.

25/08/2018 Khoj IIT Ashram exam was conducted from Std V to X. Total 150 Students reached second level.

25/08/2018 An inter-School Gujarati Elocution competition was conducted at Baroda High School Alkapuri by Socleen. The topic was “ Vidhesh ma loko potana Shehero swachch rakhe che to apde kem nahi ? If in foreign countries People can Keep the City Clean why can’t we ? MS. Geeta Vaghela guided them.

31/08/2018 A softball competition was conducted at Pologround Master. Harshil Kanojiya and Master Ayush Bhosle were selected for the state level.

31/08/2018 An inter school Hindi speech competiton was conducted at Shri Krishna Hindi Vidhyalaya. MS. Hitanshi Solanki received consolation prize. Ms. Snehlata guided them.

31/08/2018 An inter school Samayana Gyan Pratiyogita was conducted at DPS Harni. Ms. Snehlata guided the students. Ms. Gokhale Anushkha , Ms.Badgujar Jagruti And Master Sharma Kishan had won the prize.

08/09/2018 Poster making competition was conducted at Zenith School. Shubham and Uday participated in the competition. The Topic was Technology in Education. Mr. Sanket guided them.

06/09/2018 Inter School Kabaddi tournament was conducted for under-17 boys at BHS ONGC. Master Jayraj Joshi of X A and Master Vasu Thakor of X B were selected for the district level. Ms. Sivaranjini was the coach and guide.

10/09/2018 Boys Under 17 years participated at district level at Jumma Dada Ground for Kabbadi tournament. Jayraj Joshi and Vasu Thakor of Std X participated in it and were selected for District level. Ms.Sivaranjani guided them.

16/09/2018 Poster making competition was organized by JCI Vadodara at Eva Mall Manjalpur Students of Std VIII and IX participated in it. Ms. Disha Solanki of Std VIII got third position. The topic was “Save electricity “ Mr.Sanket Joshi Guided them.

Activities in School (Common):

03/07/2018 To preserve and conserve the planet earth Tree plantation was done in the school campus. Students from K.G to Std X had planted 100 trees like Eucalyptus, Asopalav, Borsali, Saatpani Etc. Students were taught the proper method to plant.

18/07/2018 Camel art contest was conducted for std I to IX. All the students participated in it. Topics such as Festivals, my dreams and Nature were given to the students. Mr.Sanket Joshi Guided them.

21/07/2018 As part of National Campaign to eradicate Measles and Rubella a camp was conducted to vaccinate the students from Sneh to Std IX. Team of Doctors from Health Care Department, and nurses came and Vaccinated the Students. Dr. Anand Sontake had come from Unicef to inspect.

21/07/2018 An introductory session on “TOD FOD JOD” was conducted by the “Vadodara Innovation Council” to develop the interest of a group of students in science. Mr. Jatin Trivedi & Amit were facilitator of this workshop. Students of std VII to X were shown some videos and were given the task to dismantle the gadgets like Statoscope, Microphone, Speaker and Iron etc.

28/07/2018 An introductory session on “TOD FOD JOD” was conducted by the “Vadodara Innovation Council” in B.H.S Danteshwar. The facilitators were Mr. Pritesh Kukadiya and Mr. Abhishek Kiri. The activity was based on Microphone and

Speakers. Students were explained about the propagation of sound in waves with the help of P.P.T. Students had dismantle the micro phone and Speaker.

05/08/2018 A workshop was organized by M.S. University Polytechnic college. The workshop was on T-Shirt Painting and the Topic of the workshop was “Emotion”. Students of std VIII & IX participated in it.

12/08/2018 “Under the greenwood trees of Laxmi Vilas palace behind Fatehsinh Museum, Nature walk was organized by the Socleen. Students came to know about variety of species in animals and plants. The concerned persons were Dr. Arya, Devkar Sir, Mrs. Sabawala.MS. Rupinder Kaur Ahuja went there along with our students.

15/08/2018 Independence Day was celebrated in the school campus. Trustee Vice President Mr. Prabhudas Patel was the chief guest who hoisted the flag. A skit on Revolt of 1857 and journey of 72 years of Indian Independence was presented.

19/08/2018 A Nature Walk was organized by Socleen between 7.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. at Arboretum and Botanical medicinal plants at M.S.U. Ms. Rupinder, Ms. Teena, Ms. Roopali and 9 students participated in the Nature Walk. Students were given knowledge about medicinal plants, orchids, aquatic plants birds and insects. It was informative.

20/08/2018 Rakhi making competition was conducted for students of Std VI to X to cultivate the feelings of empathy and patriotism as well as universal brotherhood. Students made Rakhis for soldiers who serves the Nation. These Rakhis were send to the saviours on the earth. We are proud to be an Indian and we do care for our soldiers the real brothers in real sense.

20/08/2018 A maths puzzle test i.e Suduko was conducted by Ken Ken “International Championship” for students of Std IV to IX. Total 6 puzzles had to be solved in 30 minutes.

23/08/2018 The inauguration of LRC LAB was organized at Baroda HIGHSCHOOL ALKAPURI at 9.30 a.m. It was inaugurated by Vice President Sir Prabhudas Patel. other Trustees President Jagdish Shukla Sir, Tustee Dr. S.R. Iyengar and Trustee Dr. Prerna Mohite made the inauguration ceremony authentic by their presence.Principals of all the Baroda High School Branches were also present to motivate us. On 23rd August 2018. All the four branches had prepared LRC KIT under the leadership of Trustee Dr. Prerna Mohite and Vice President Shri P.S. Patel. All the four branches had prepared LRC KIT on listening skill. The topic of Baroda High School Alkapuri was Homophones and Story Telling for Std IV. The Topic of Baghikhana was Action Words for Std I to III. The topic of Baroda High School ONGC was Proverbs and Conversation between two friends. The topic of Danteshwar was based on listening activity in the form of Story, blind fold game, telephone game and agree disagree game. It was innovative and useful. All the four branches shared the LRC KIT and learnt new things.

24/08/2018 Label reading Activity was conducted by Ms. Jyoti Ms. Rupinder and Ms. Vidya as a part of Health and Nutrition Activity. Std IX students were selected for this activity. The class was divided into groups consisting of five students. Each group were given task to buy eatable food packets of their choice and then identify it as healthy or unhealthy as guided by the teachers.

27/08/2018 Fancy dress competition was conducted for students of std VI to IX as part of house activity.

30/08/2018 Sports day was celeberated on the birthday of Mr. Dhyanchand the hockey player. Various types of games and activities like running ,volley ball,hockey, were conducted. Mr. Tushar and Shivranjini guided them.

31/08/2018 A meeting for parents of students of Std IX and X was conducted in the School Auditorium. The meeting was regarding new marking scheme and paper style of Std IX. Parents of Std X Were made aware about the FA1, FA2, FA3, FA4 ,SA1 and SA2. They were instructed about the rules of passing in exam.

01/09/2018 A poetry recitation competition was conducted at BHS ONGC . It was organized by Paschim Anchal Hindi Prachar Samiti.Ms. Dipali Yadav of Std X A received 3rd prize. Master Harshvardhan of Std VIII A received consolation prize. Ms Snehlata guided them.

07/09/2018 An Interschool national group song competition was conducted by bharat vikas parishad – Sanskar Nagari at Sayajinagar Gruh ,Akota. For Sanskrit

song Std IX & X won 3rd Position. For Hindi Song Std V to VIII won 3rd Position.

08/09/2018 Softball State Tournament was organized at Ahmedabad. Boys of our school won in the first round Against Junagadh. Girls of our school won against Bhavnagar.The names of the boys who participated are as under: 1.Om Borse 2.Prithviraj Rathwa 3.Aryan Parmar 4.Bhautik Patil. An Eco friendly Idol of Lord Ganesha was welcomed on Ganesh Chaturthi day and Ganesh Sthapana was done for five days. Principals of both English & Gujarati medium, Staff & Students prayed and sung aarti.

20/09/2018 Girls under 17 years and Boys under 14 years participated in KHO-KHO game in Khel Mahakumbh conducted at ONGC. They won second position against ONGC and were selected for the zonal level Ms. Sivaranjini was the coach.

22/09/2018 Kabaddi tournament was conducted by Khel Mahakumbh at BHS ONGC. Boys under 14 years and Boys under 17 years participated in it. They won second position and were selected for Zonal level. MS. Sivaranjini Dravider was the in charge.

24/09/2018 Hockey match was conducted at Manjalpur Sports complex for girls Under 14 years. Girls won the match against BHS ONGC. They got second prize. Boys under 14 years played football and won first position They reached the second round in Khel Mahakumbh. Mr Tushar Guided them.

Teacher Enhancement:

11/08/2018 A science workshop was conducted at Baroda High School Alkapuri. The topic was “Making Science an enjoyable experience “The resource person was Mr. Manish Jain. Ms. Rupinder, Ms. Sonali and Ms. Nikita Bhatt attended the workshop. An expert talk and question answer on “Importance of Nurturing creativity and curiosity with Hands -on activities “was conducted by Vadodara Innovation Council.

A workshop on “Hands on experiment in Science and Math’s “was conducted at ITM Halol between 8.00 am. To 5.00 p.m. All the science teachers participated in it. MS Rupinder, Ms. Vidya, Ms. Lubna Ms. Nikita , MS. Sonali , MS. Anjana and Ms. Teena participated in it.It was a different experience , where activities were conducted basically for science and Maths. Teachers were given task to make materials from straw, magnet, paper and even from cucumber.
