13th Aug 2014 POSTER MAKING COMPETITION Poster making competition was held on the “Patriotic Theme”. Students participated in this competition with lot of enthusiasm and made beautiful poster which expressed their ideas about free India.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES 14th Aug 2014 GRAND REHEARSAL INDEPENDENCE DAY Grand Rehearsal of Independence Day Program was carried out in the auditorium. 15th Aug 2014 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 68th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal. Hon. Trust Members Shri Milin Mehta, Shri Jagdish Shukla, Shri Mayur Swadia, Shri P.S.Patel, Shri S.R. Iyengar. Heads of all the branches of BHS graced the occasion. Shri Gaurang Pandya, President Baroda Lions Club; Main was the Guest of Honour and Mrs.Prerna Mohite was Chief Guest for the day. They addressed the audience. The program started with Flag Hoisting by the Chief Guest, followed by Zanda Geet and National Anthem. A small entertainment program was presented by the students BHS and BLS students. A group dance was performed by the students from General Stream The staff members who completed 25 years of service were felicitated. The program concluded with refreshment. 7th, 14th,21st Aug 2014 LEAAD Activities: Teen - Opine is a series of activities carried out under Leaad Program. It is a program which provides a platform to the teens to give their opinion on different topics. This time the teens of Vadodara got a unique opportunity to interact with the media…… as this teen opine had a topic of “TEENS WITH MEDIA”. The following students participated in the activity: Anokhee Naik, Vishwa Pandey,Mrugaya Patil,Mayuri Kapadia,Smit Parmar. Mayauri Kapadia was selected as Speaker for the program. She went for the discussion related to the topic of teen opine to the Times of India group, also with RJ Kshitij of Radio mirchi. 23rd Aug 2014 LEAAD Activities-TEEN OPINE Final Event- “TEENS WITH MEDIA”: The event was organized at The Institute of Engineers, Trident Complex Vadodara on 23rd August, 2014 at 6.00 pm. The students had the opportunity to interact and ask questions with welknown Media Personalities like Stavan Desai, Divya Bhaskar, RJ Kshitij, Radio Mirchi and Aditi Raja, The Indian Express Group. Totally 10 students alongwith Incharge Teacher, Mrs. Shilpa Manohar attended this event. Mayuri Kapadia, speaker of the event shared her experiences of her visit at the Times of India Office with Mr. Sachin. She received a participation certificate.

28th Aug 2014 YOUTH FESTIVAL- INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION The students of Std-XI participated in different activities conducted in the Youth Festival.

Dharti Patel bagged second prize in the Best out of Waste Competition she received a Certificate of Apprreciation. 30th Aug 2014 Base Leaad Test was conducted for the students of Std.XI. The test was a psychometric test and consisted of 187 different questions which they had to answer. The students would be given a score report sheet mentioning about their strong and weak points and further out of these students some would be short listed for further Leaad Programs/events to be conducted in the month of October. 30thAug 2014 GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION The commerce section students and Staff performed aarti in the Baroda High School, Alkapuri, KG & Primary section. This was followed by thaal song for Lord Ganesha.

INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION 4th to 11th Aug 2014 ACTIVITIES BY VADODARA DISTRICT EDUCATION,EMPLOYMENT AND INFORMATION BUREAU AND CAREER GUIDANCE ASSOCIATION: Career Planning Week was organized byVADODARA DISTRICT EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND INFORMATION BUREAU ALONG WITH CAREER GUIDANCE ASSOCIATION. 20thAug 2014 RBI INTER SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION: The RBI had organized an Inter School Quiz Competition for the Vadodara Zone. There were around 150 teams who participated in this Cmpetition. In the preliminary round the teams were given 25 questions and the teams which scored maximum marks got the opportunity to climb up the dias for the final round of quizzing. 5 Teams consisting of 2 students each participated in this quiz and could score up to 18 points. Each participant received the participation certificate.

21st Aug 2014 ALL INDIA ESSAY WRITING EVENT 2014 All India Essay Writing Competition was organized by Shri Ram Chandra Mission. The Topic was ‘This above all: to thine own self be true.” All the students of Std XI & XII participated in this competition at school level out of which Seven Essays were selected to represent BHS, General Stream.

SPORTS ROUND UP 22nd to 25th Aug 2014 SUBROTO CUP- FOOT BALL U-17 (Girls) Richa Patel and Anjali Agrawal played the matches and were selected for the State Level. FOOT BALL U-19 (Girls) FINAL Anjali Agrawal and Richa Patel played football matches at statelevel. In all BHS Football team played four matches. They reached the finals after defeating the team of Rajkot city by 3/0 and played finals v/s Ahmedabad and won by 4/0. FOOT BALL U-19 (Boys) Manan Zaveri, Aymaan Pathan and Aditya Iyer of Std-XI participated in various practice matches and fitness camps during the month. CRICKET Sachin Shewani and Ansh Tiwari of Std-XI participated in various practice matches and fitness camps during the month.
