About Barn Light Electric Company
Our company not only offers true American Made and manufactured light fixtures, but we also consider our business to be a true American Dream. Simply put, it was the passion for a hobby that turned into a full time successful business. Bryan Scott, Co-owner and Founder launched this business in his backyard barn in 2001. With his passion for antique light fixtures, Bryan would search through antique stores, estate sales, abandoned buildings and garage sales looking for vintage lights he could restore.
Bryan enjoyed restoring American Made barn lighting because of the high quality that was used to manufacture these vintage light fixtures. But as the past faded away, vintage barn lighting also faded away. So Bryan decided to make his own American Made barn lighting. Just like the barn light fixtures Bryan had restored, he wanted his new barn lighting to be manufactured the old fashion way:
1. American Made. 2. Must use only high quality & commercial grade materials. 3. Must represent original barn lighting styles.
Soon the demand for Bryan's lighting exceeded his resources within his small barn. Unable to keep up with the demand, he began looking for help. Through extensive research of the lighting industry, he found a true American manufacturer who could manufacture barn lighting with the same high standards he had set for himself. The manufacturer was able to produce quality commercial grade barn lighting and manufacture it much faster than Bryan.
Because of their passion for barn lighting and desire to provide the best old-fashioned customer service possible, Bryan and his wife left their professional careers early in 2008 to manage the business full time. Some of Bryan’s original barn light designs can be found on-line, as well as, many new designs offered from true American manufacturers. Our very own Barn Light Ceiling Fans will be available on-line in early 2009. Just like our barn lighting, our ceiling fans promise to bring innovation and excitement.
Why does Barn Light Electric Company choose to only offer American Made barn lighting? The answer is simple – quality and the ability to deliver! We want our customers to never be concerned with quality or waiting several weeks or even worse, months for delivery.

Lead Times:All of our lighting is manufactured in the United States. We DO NOT import our lighting. All materials are kept in stock. Several of our light fixtures ship within five business days. However, if your ordered light fixture is not pre-manufactured, we will start the manufacturing process the day of order. The manufacturing process typically takes between five to ten business days depending upon the finish and quantity ordered.
Need it faster? We can prioritize your order for an additional 25% of order total or $35.00, whichever is greater. Priority orders are guaranteed to ship within 5 business days.
U.S. Domestic Shipping:All lighting is shipped by FedEx, UPS Ground, or Freight Truck at the discretion of Barn Light Electric Company. In a Hurry? Contact us for expedited shipping options including overnight, 2-day and 3-day air options.
Truck Freight:Large orders over $1500.00 typically ship by freight truck. Freight shipping is included within the ground shipping rate chart. This does not delay the shipping time or transit time, but freight shipping to a residential address will incur additional freight charges. The customer is responsible for all additional freight charges to a non-commercial or residential address.
International Shipping:We ship internationally and to Canada. Canadian shipping rates can be found on-line. Please contact us for international shipping rates. The customer is responsible for all duties and taxes imposed by the country of import.
Finish Options:The following finishes are considered standard and do not require an up charge: 96-GALVANIZED, 91-BLACK, 93-WHITE, 95-DARK GREEN, BR47-POWDER COAT RUST and GN20-POWDER COAT PATINA. All other finish options are considered premium finishes and may require additional days in the manufacturing time. Premium finish options do require an up-charge. All copper & brass finishes are considered Special Order and are non-returnable. Please allow up to 15 business days for the manufacturing process of special order and copper light fixtures. Polished and Satin Finishes are for INTERIOR USE ONLY.
Limited Warranty: All lighting is warranteed by the manufacturer for up to one year to be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Please note that not all finishes are warranteed for exterior use. All lighting is UL Listed. Barn Light Electric is not responsible for projects not meeting the completion date.
