SOUTHERN

CALIFORNIA BANGS SHOES: WEST COAST TOUR

Page 2: BANGS: West Coast Tour

Everyone has a fashion style, rather it is someone who wears sequined blazers to

someone who wears a simple cotton v neck. The event consists of students snapping a photo of

themselves from head to toe, in their own personal style and what they think represents BANGS

shoes. At the event, BANGS will have shoes on site for students to take a photo in. They then

will post the photo on Instagram, hash tagging #bangsshoes followed by the abbreviation of their

school, ie: University of Southern California would be #bangsshoesusc. Whichever photo has the

most likes, wins a free pair of BANGS shoes of their choice. One entry per person and in order

to enter, the contestant has to donate a $2 fee which will go to the causes when they sign up at

the booth at the event. More entries the better and contestants can donate more than $2, but it

will not increase their chances.

This part of the project is focused on aspect of marketing with the State Colleges in

Southern California, with a twist of working with Greek life programs. There are eighteen state

colleges and thirty three private schools. A little less than half of those fifty one schools have a

Greek Life Program. The reason why we thought we should include Greek Life was because it is

a big group that holds lots of events a year. Mainly because they are required to do charity work

each year as well. How we planned it to work was have three different options one to work with

the Greek Life program, one with the business classes, and one with the art department.

The Greek Life event would be a quad party on the day of Hannah’s visit. It will be from

9am to about 4pm. There will be a booth where the team can sell shoes, if available in the

schools colors, hand out water, coffee, and breakfast. There could be a side walk chalk drawing

station and games to play with the Greek team members. Some big games that are played on

college campuses are beers-be which can played with non alcoholic drinks, tug of war, bags,

Frisbee, etc. You could buy the food and drinks to hand out by the case so it will be less

expensive.

The second part was having Hannah continue speaking with classes. She could be a guest

speaker at business and entrepreneurship classes. Another option is to have her do a speech later

in the evening for student to attend that’s open to all students. She could reach more students that

way, and only have to do one speech. And finally a talk with art students; this will be a meeting

where the regulations about the two competitions.
