I have been in dogs since 1967 - My main breed is Labradors and we have made up 2 Obedience Champions in Australia and 21 Champions in the show ring since 1974 when we returned to England, all except the first three being full Champions - all dogs are trained to the gun by my husband David. We also have a further 5 bitches with CC's in this breed.

We have also owned German Shorthaired Pointers for 23 years and made up 2 male champions and 2 more bitches with CC's. In our third breed Sussex Spaniels which we have had for over 23 years we have made up 2 champions, father A Daughter.

I first awarded CC's in 1982, and now give them in 24 breeds in the Gundog Group, as

well as awarding the Group. I am an Accredited Trainer for the Kennel Club teaching Conformation & Movement and the "Hands On" Points of the dog to new judges and have given over 50 seminars to date. In my youth I also worked for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The dogs are now all in David's name and he continues to show them with good success, making up two new Champions in the past year, I now concentrate on my Judging of the Gundog Group, for the FCI these are Groups 7 A 8. I have been lucky enough to have travelled the world making many new friends, visiting Australia & New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, Pakistan, South Africa, Kenya, South America, USA & Canada, Russia, plus all countries in Europe as well as Eastern Europe.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Mr.Bivin acquired his first purebred dog at the age of twelve. This Pomeranian bitch introduced him to the sport of dogs and became the

foundation of a breeding program that led to his breeding and exhibiting top- winning Pomeranians. From this base he was to first judge toy dogs at match shows at the age of fifteen. Mr.Bivin was approved to judge Pomeranians at championship point shows in the US in 1961 .

It has been his privilege to judge many all-breed and specialty shows in the United States and abroad, among those being many of the internationally famous ones-best in show at Westminster, 1999.! A great joy has been the judging of many national specialty shows of various breeds in the groups for which he is approved.

His wife Irene and he enjoyed the breeding and exhibiting of Doberman Pinschers and dachshunds during her lifetime. He retired from the university in 2003.

Among the more satisfying activities that I have helped with in purebred dogs is his work with Take The Lead, a charitable organization for people in the sport. The need for this organization and its assistance to individuals in the sport who are suffering life threatening or critical illness or injury is beyond his ability to adequately describe. It is a way for him and others to give back to a sport from which they have taken so much.

When his sister returned to Buenos Aires from USA she brought two Bedlington Terriers with her. They were just her pets and they never thought of showing them until a Committee Member of the Canine Society saw them walking them and convinced them to start showing them in the Argentine Terrier Club Championship Show. That was in 1963 and since then they never stopped being

involved in the dog scene. In 1964 they had the first litter and kept two bitches, one of them become the first Argentine Champion. In 1970 Carlos started with English Cocker Spaniels and bred few champions at a time when the quality of the Cockers in Argentina was very high. He also owned Ch Lochranza Strolloway who went Res BIS at Crufts. When moving to England in 1978 he decided to start with Shih Tzu's and imported one from Sweden. By the middle of the 80´s he started to judge abroad a lot so stopped breeding, but in the late 90's he realized how much he was missing it. By that time he only had a pet Pug and an old Shih Tzu so after a lot of consideration he started with Wire-haired Miniature Dachshunds and now he's also back in Shih Tzu's. His first judging appointment was in Open Show for Terrier breeds in 1969 and in 1970 he judged Terriers in the biggest show in Buenos Aires and by 1974 he was approved by the FCA to judge all breeds. He has judged in most of the European countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Kenya, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Israel. The highlights of his judging career has been judging at the World Dog Shows in Bern and Porto, European Winner Show in Copenhagen, The Stockholm Winter Show, the Finnish Winner Show and Crufts in 2004 were he had the record entry ever in Bedlingtons -112 dogs!

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

1.ELIGIBILITY:

Only dogs registered with the Kennel Club of India are permitted to compete. Cryptorchid, Monorchid Dogs and Dogs under R.A.F. will not be permitted to compete.

2. CAUTION:

Exhibitors should make themselves familiar with the KCI Rules and Regulations for Shows, copies of which may be obtained from The Secretary, KCI on payment of Rs. 25/-.

Exhibitors are cautioned that an entry in the wrong class or breed will automatically disqualify the exhibit.

The Show Committee reserves the right to nominate a new judge / judges in the event of the above mentioned judges not

obligation.

Exhibitors will have to follow the order of judging and make themselves present in the waiting ring at the time of judging. Exhibitors are requested to Bench their dogs close to the ring where the respective breeds would be judged.

Numbers will not be called over the public address system and hence there would be no announcements. The club shall not be held responsible if exhibitors are not present in the ring when their

3. ENFORCEMENT & AMENDMENT OF RULES

Note: Imported Dogs and Bitches may be entered in Open Class and in one class as per age of the dog for that class. A dog / bitch which has attained Championship (winner of 3 CC’s) by the date when the entry is sent, can be entered in Championship Class (M class) ONLY. Winners of Puppy Class (B&H) are eligible to compete for Best Puppy in Show Award. BEST PUPPY OF THE SHOW Judging will be done before Best in Show.

4. VET EXAMINATION:

All Dogs must be passed by the Honorary Veterinary Surgeon, present at the gate and be certified fit by him before admission.The Veterinary Certificate should be produced on demand.

5.CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE:

Challenge Certificates will be awarded at the Show (CC’s). All Indian Breeds are eligible for CC’s as per KCI rules.

6. PENALTY:

(a) Any wilful misrepresentation regarding ownership, age, name, pedigree, etc.

(b) Any dog entered and prepared for exhibition, in contravention of K.C.I. regulations, will be liable for disciplinary action by the committee.

(c) Double Handling: As per the KCI directive double handling is strictly prohibited. Any exhibit double handled is liable to be disqualified from the show.

7. OBJECTIONS:

Objections will be decided by the KCI committee in accordance with the KCI regulations. The objection fee is Rs.1000/- refundable if the objection is held valid by the show Committee, if turned down the fee will be forfeited.

NOTE: Exhibitors are kindly requested to enter in both shows.

* Exhibitors/Handlers are hereby warned that any one found drinking or drunk inside the show ground or while handling the exhibit in the show ring will be reported to the KCI. Such persons are liable to be suspended for a minimum period of two years and shall also be fined Rs.1000/- or more as the committee may decide.

MINOR PUPPY CLASS is one in which dogs that are 4 months of age and not exceeding 6 months.PUPPY CLASS is one in which dogs that are 6 months and above and not exceeding 12 months.JUNIOR CLASS is one in which dogs that are 12 months and above and not exceeding 18 months.INTERMEDIATE CLASS is one in which dogs that are 18 months and above and not exceeding 36 months.
