The Star Spangled BannerO say can you see by the dawn’s early light,

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming,Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

The purpose of The Battle of Flowers® Association Band Festival, first held in 1935, is to encourage interest in the study of music by highlighting high school bands in a unique venue of cooperation. A Program Cover Contest is held for high school art students, and the winner is awarded a scholarship prize at the Band Festival. The winning entry along with the top thirty selections was displayed at a reception held on March 24, 2013.
