I. Background and Summary:

Two wafer samples (184021 Wafer 1 and 185114 Wafer 21) were submitted for analysis to determine the

concentrations of elemental contaminants, polybrominated biphyenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl

ethers (PBDEs), and select phthalates present per the European RoHS directive.

II. Analysis Techniques:

The wafers were ground into a fine powder and different aliquots were taken for each analysis.

RoHS Parameters: Analyses for metals were conducted following the guidelines set out in IEC 62321,

Ed. 1, Revision 111/54/CDV, “Procedures for the Determination of Levels of Six Regulated Substances in

Electrotechnical Products”. The sample was hydrolyzed with concentrated acid prior to taking aliquots for

the metals analysis.

Trace elements were analyzed by ICP-MS in accordance with the documents EN1122, ICS 83.080.01,

Method “A” “Plastics - Determination of cadmium - Wet decomposition method”, and lead by EPA 3050B

Acid Digestion of Sediments, Sludges and Soils.

Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) was analyzed by UV-Vis Spectrometry with a Cary 50 UV-Vis system

following ISO 3613:2000(E), “Chromate Conversion Coatings on Zinc, Cadmium, Aluminum-Zinc Alloys

and Zinc-Aluminum Alloys Test Methods”. This is the full immersion boiling water extraction.

These results were obtained by following standard laboratory procedures and are only representative of the sample as received by the laboratory.

The liability of AIR LIQUIDE - BALAZS NanoAnalysis ("Balazs") should not exceed the amount paid for this report. In no event shall Balazs be liable for

special of consequential damages. Client agrees not to use Balaz's name in reporting results obtained from tests performed by Balazs written consent

as to such use. Report shall not be reproduced except in full, without the written permission of Balazs.

Organobromines (polybrominated biphenyls & polybrominated diphenyl ethers) were evaluated in

accordance with the document labeled “Volatile Organic Compounds by Gas Chromatography/Mass

Spectrometry (GC/MS)”, EPA-1614 Draft Method in conjunction with the appropriate preparation technique.

III. Summary of Results:

A) RoHS Evaluation: None of the parameters listed below were detected in either sample at

concentrations in excess of those permitted under the RoHS directive which are:

Cadmium 100 ppmw (0.01% by weight)

Mercury 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

Hexavalent chromium 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

PBBs, PBDEs 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

DEHP 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

DBP 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

BBP 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight)

DIBP 1,000 ppmw (0.1% by weight).

Additionally, lead was not detected in sample 184021 Wafer 1 at or above 1,000ppmw.

Lead was detected in 185114 Wafer 21 at 27,674 ppmw.

These results were obtained by following standard laboratory procedures and are only representative of the sample as received by the laboratory.

The liability of AIR LIQUIDE - BALAZS NanoAnalysis ("Balazs") should not exceed the amount paid for this report. In no event shall Balazs be liable for
