The Perth Islamic Society has submitted the proposal for the site in Jeanfield Road, stating its present premises in a flat in Glasgow Road is too small for the burgeoning local Muslim population. A committee member of the Islamic Society, said the new mosque will be built in the traditional style and will include a minaret and a community hall. He said: “The Muslim community is growing quite fast – there are more than 600 around Perthshire and we need a new mosque. How can one make the best of Laila-tul-qadr? the night more blessed than a thousand nights? Here are some tips

Firstly:

The Messenger of Allaah (SAW) used to strive hard in worship during the last ten days of Ramadan as he never did at any other time, praying, reading Quran and making dua. Al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated from Hazrat Aisha (RDA) that when the last ten days of Ramadaan came, the Prophet ( SAW) would stay up at night and would wake his family up, and would abstain from marital relations.

Secondly:

The Prophet (SAW) enjoined staying up and praying on Laila-tul-Qadr out of faith and in the hope of reward. It was narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (RDA) that the Prophet (SAW) said:

“Whoever stays up and prays on Laila-tul-Qadr out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Thirdly:

One of the best dua that may be recited on Laila-tul-Qadr is that which the Prophet (SAW) taught to Hazrat Aisha (RDA).

‘Say: Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa’affu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).”

Fourthly:

With regard to specifying which night of Ramadan is Laila-tul-Qadr, this needs specific evidence, but the odd-numbered nights during the last ten nights are more likely than others, and the night of the twenty-seventh is the most likely to be Laylat al-Qadr, because that is mentioned in the ahaadeeth.

Fifthly:

With regard to innovations, they are not permissible during Ramadan or at other times. It was proven that the Messenger of Allaah (SAW) said: “Whoever innovates anything in this matter of ours that is not part of it will have it rejected.” According to another report, “Whoever does any action that is not part of this matter of ours will have it rejected.”

We know of no basis for the celebrations that are held during some nights of Ramadan. The best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (SAW) and the worst of matters are those which are innovated (bid’ah).

And Allah (SWT) is the ource of strength. May Allah (SWT) send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his family and companions.

My dear daughter!

Thousands of warm wishes for you,

Daughter!

I have written many letters to you in the past and the purpose of writing these letters was to adorn you with good manners and deeds so that everyone may feel impressed by your personality and you can win the hearts of your in-laws family members.

While I was recalling my letters, I realized that some real and important aspects of life were missed which I want to express through this letter.

Daughter! We should not forget the reality of life that the time in which we are breathing is undoubtedly temporary.

You will quite agree with the fact that we contemplate a lot of preparing for worldly travel we keep all necessary items that could be needed for making our journey comfortable. But one day we will have to encounter with a very difficult journey where we do not require any heavy luggage. We must take with us belief on Almighty Allah and good deeds and Taqwa. These things are acceptable in the Court of Allah (SWT) in order to

make our journey peaceful and full of consolation.

We have been taught by Quran to pray before starting our journey. Please remember it: “Limitless in His glory is He who has made [all] this subservient to our use - since [but for Him,] we would not have been able to attain to it. ‘Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn.” (surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 13,14 )

The main purpose of the above verses is to recall the hard journey that everyone comes across in all respects.

Daughter! You are fully aware of the nature of human being that he feels inner fear when the darkness prevails everywhere and he uses his best efforts to get rid of this trouble and runs to light a lantern. When he cannot bear the timely darkness, how he can he bear the permanent darkness of his depressing, gloomy and forlorn grave. The only solution is to keep the darkness away by reciting the Holy Quran, spending money on endows, soft and polite behavior with the people as evangelists (Muslim scholars) did in order to bright their graves. In this context please note down the following sayings

of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“Hazrat Jabir R.A said it was the custom of the Holy Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) not to go to sleep until he had recited Surah e Al Mulk and Alif Laam Meem Sajdah. [Ahmad, Tirmidhi ]”

The Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said, “Surah al Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave” [Sahihul Jamiea]

‘HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything:’

‘He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving.’ (Surah-e-Al-Mulk, Verse No. 1-2)

In above verses Allah (SWT) narrates death before life that reveals an inevitable reality that death is valued on life. The same verses tells that Allah (SWT) tests among you who perform best deeds.

Death and trial are two crucial components of this universe that endorse our believe on Allah (SWT). A true believer never compromises on his belief because that is his only

precious treasure.

T h e e x t r a v a g a n t temptation of this worldly life is valueless before the bounties of paradise that would be bestowed to those who indulge their life in the care of saving their belief and give priority to death on life.

Once Ho l y Prophet Mohammad SAWW was praying to Allah (SWT) with these words

ا سي حاسبن حسا ب ي

هم

لل

ا

“O Allah make easy reckoning with me”

Hazrat Ayesha (RDA) asked him, why you are praying in such a way. He (SAW) told her if Allah started reckoning nobody can escape from Allah (SWT).

Our every moment’s act and activity in this world is being recorded and this record

educational boards and paving the way forward for knowledge based education.

The BEF is a platform which will help schools develop curriculum, provide teachers’ and staff training and workshops, and also conduct workshops for students along with various other facilities. Details on the BEF vision was presented by another dedicated member of the BSWT team, Mr. Adil Zuberi while Mr. Abdul Moiz, who is also a faculty member of the Intellect School, spoke aout the need in these days for a common platform like the BEF.

May Allah (SWT) grant BSWT in this new venture. Ameen

endorse appropriate local ancillary regulations that should take account of opinions of the council of students, the council of parents and the representative board of teachers (if it has one) in order to facilitate observance of the rights of citizens to freedom of conscience and freedom of religion,” the press release said. Chechnya’s legislature endorsed the amendments on March 30 that permit school students to wear the clothes or symbols reflecting their religious views, including headscarves. Russia’s Federal Minister of Education Olga Vassilyeva said in January the students should not emphasize their religious beliefs through clothes. Kadyrov answered her in social networks, saying she was trying to impose her personal opinion on others. He also said then someone was fanning the problem of headscarves in an unnatural way just to divert public attention from real problems at general schools. Kadyrov also said his own daughters who were school students were wearing traditional Muslim headscarves. The legislature said in a commentary on the amendments the regulations they envision do not run counter to Russia’s

center in Munich, has studied Zamzam with his colleague and assistant Husam Othman. A miracle in itself is that the Zamzam specimen they studied extraordinarily increased the energetic fields in human cells having travelled from Saudi Arabia to Munich, s u s t a i n i n g c l i m a t e changes, probably having gone through an X-ray machine at customs, and then being stored for approximately two weeks. The opposite reaction would exhibit with other types of water especially if stagnant for some time, including water from Munich which is considered chemically pure.

Our Beloved Prophet (SAW) said:

“The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zam-zam; it is a kind of food and a healing from sickness.”

(Sahih al-Jaami)

3. Uncontaminated

Zam-zam has been flowing from the Ka’aba for over 4000 years. Samples taken from all water sources in the world contain some germs in it. It has been proven that Zamzam does not contain any contaminants. It is an established scientific fact that pools or water wells tend to grow vegetation such as algae– especially in warm climates. Amazingly this is not the case in the well of Zamzam. It has remained free from biological contaminations.

4. Healing Nature

Scientific proof shows that Zamzam contains healing components due to its higher content of calcium and magnesium salts and natural fluorides which present germicidal properties.

It was reported in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet (SAW) said to Hazrat Abu Dhār (RDA), who had stayed near the Kabah and its coverings for forty days and nights with no food or drink other than (Zamzam): “How long have you been here?” Abu Dhār said, “I have been here for thirty days and nights.” The Prophet (SAW) said, “Who has been feeding you?” He said, “I have had nothing but Zamzam water, and I have gotten so fat that I have folds of fat on my stomach. I do not feel any of the tiredness or weakness of hunger and I have not become thin.”

The Prophet (SAW) said, “Verily, it is blessed, it is food that nourishes.”

(Sahih Muslim)

5. The miracle of its Origin

Makkah is built on a mass of igneous rock, and due to the process in which they form, these rocks have no pores and – due to partial melting of the minerals of which the rock comprises -cause any existing pores to close up. Science tells us that water reservoirs can only exist in rocks that are highly porous and permeable. Geologist Dr Zaghloul Al-Najjar, head of The Committee of Scientific Signs in the Quran and Sunnah states that this simple and great fact verifies the sanctity and holiness of the land.

6. Hadith substantiates its Science

Origins of the water was a mystery until tunnels were dug around Makkah, where engineers and workers found hairline fractures in the solid mass of rock that stretched for kilometers in either direction through which Zamzam was seeping out, extensive fractures which could only be caused by a mighty impact. Sunnah states that it’s because of the strong blow with which Hazrat Jibra’eel (AS) struck the earth.

The well isn’t that deep, 30 metres in fact of which 13 metres or a little less are filled with compressed sediments from the valley which don’t allow water to flow out. Below this is about 17 metres of igneous rock through which the water flows through these long hairline fractures in the rock, where it gains its high mineral content beneficial to both the body and soul of man.

7. It Manifests for what it is Drunk

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.”

(Ibn Maajah)

This is a hasan hadeeth. A myriad of cases exist that testify to the healing nature of Zamzam. Drinking Zamzam with the sincere intention of fulfilling a need, such as healing a physical ailment, being freed from poverty or distress, even achieving calm in the wake of any type of anxiety, gives way to Allah (SWT) fulfilling these needs. One could continue drinking it until one is completely healed.
