The Singing Wind

The wind is singing in the mountains, Across the valley and the plain, And calling joyous in the islands, Let love and unity reign. Let love and unity reign, Let love and unity reign, The wind is singing in the mountains, Let love and unity reign.

The crickets crying in the valleys, Can’t see the brilliance of the dawn, Can’t hear the singing in the mountains, The Promised One has come! The Promised One has come! The Promised One has come! The wind is singing in the mountains, Bahá’u’lláh has come!

So let us shout it from the mountains, And fi ll the world with the song. The wind is singing in the mountains, Bahá’u’lláh has come! 0 hear the song of the wind, come sing the song of the wind. The wind is singing in the mountains, Bahá’u’lláh has come!

We are drops (we are drops) of one ocean (of one ocean),We are pearls (we are pearls) of one sea (of one sea),Come and join us (come and join us) in our quest for unity,It’s a way of life for you and me.

We are fl owers of one garden, We are leaves of one tree,Come and join us in our quest for unity, It’s a way of life for you and me.

All the world is one country, Man is one, can’t you see?Come and join us in our quest for unity, It’s a way of life for you and me.

We are drops of one ocean,We are pearls of one sea,Come and join us in our quest for unity,It’s a way of life for you and me.

Chorus: It’s a small world after all. It’s a small world after all. It’s a small world after all, It’s a small, small world.

We Are One!Words and Music by Randall and Linda Dighton

Chorus: We are one, every faith and race and nation, We are one, we’re all part of God’s creation We are one, it’s a cause for celebration, We are one, We are one! We are one, we’re all waves of one sea and We are one, we’re all leaves of one tree and We are one, we are all humanity and We are one, We are one!

Now we all are created by one great and loving God, Whose power and Whose wisdom we all laud,And no matter what you call Him by or how you say His Name,The Exalted One we worship is the same. (Chorus)

All the Prophets and the Messengers were sent by God above,To teach us how to live and how to love.Though each had a special Message, yet in essence They agree,They all taught the path to peace and unity. (Chorus)

Now mankind was designed in many colors, many hues,Many sizes, many natures, many views. But no matter the diversity, we surely must agree,There is beauty in the differences we see. (Chorus)

The Miraculous Cow (A Musical Fable)

A beast came to our village, ‘twas led by a man in a hat.The people gathered all around, each asking, “What is that? It’s got two horns and cloven hooves. It’s got to be evil,” they said,“For -- nothing like it was seen before, and anything new is bad.”

The man in the hat just smiled and said, “She’s only a cow from the fi elds. She’s a good thing, not an evil one, you can tell by what she yields. You don’t get fi gs from a thistle bush, like the one by yonder stream. No, -- a cow gives only goodly things, just milk and butter and cream.”

Before a month had ended, the story began to change.“Remember the golden horns it had? Only three, I thought that strange.”“No, there were four,” said someone else, “to go with its golden feet.”Soon -- the ruby-crowned angel was fl ying with it all up and down the street.

The one thing we all agreed upon was the cow was coming back. This time we’d keep the jewels she gave and put them all in a sack. We’d all be rich as kings and queens, her touch would cure our ills. And -- this was the cow we all waited for, to come fl ying over the hills.

Then a beast came to our village, ‘twas led by a man in a hat.The people gathered all around, each asking, “What is that? It’s got two horns and cloven hooves. It’s got to be evil,” they said,“For -- nothing like it was seen before, and anything new is bad.”

The man in the hat just smiled and said, “She’s the same cow come again. The gold and the jewels are fantasies that come from the minds of men.She only gives milk and butter and cream, the same as she gave you before.”Then -- we killed the man and his evil beast so he’d lie to us no more.

Now this is really a fable about the Prophets God has sentTo teach us love and unity, and how we change what He meant. Each Messenger sacrifi ced far more than any mortal could give. Now -- let’s open our eyes and our hearts to Them, and in Their love may we live.
