The Back Stage Pass Festival and Event Coordinators Conference is a symposium that focuses on planning for festivals and special events through the sharing of ideas and like experiences with fundraisers and event planners throughout the Southeast. Back Stage Pass is a new collaboration among the Mississippi Main Street Association, Mississippi Arts Commission and the Mississippi Development Authority. For the �rst time, the three statewide organizations will be partnering to present one high-quality festival and event coordinators’ program.
Please join us at the Hollywood Resort, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, on January 24-25, 2011 for fun, camaraderie and learning, as we explore ways to develop and enhance events that build community character and contribute to the creative economy.

Discover how a variety of communities across the South and the nation have marketed events as economic development tools to drive tra�c to downtown and foster investment (while having a good time, too!)
Learn how to maintain a strong festival brand and keep programming fresh by presenting multiple cultural components (music, food, craft, culture, history and education) in a single festival environment while staying within budget.
Sponsorships are easy ... if you know how to do it and where to go to get it! This session will focus on the many di�erent sponsorship selling strategies and tactics that can help you get everything from a $25 dollar sponsorship to a $25,000 one. There is a simple system and you can learn it, easily. Taught by Main Street favorite, Sylvia Allen, come prepared to learn AND have fun!
Shuttle will meet people at the front door at 3 PM and pick back up to take back to Hollywood at 4:30. Shuttle can take 20 people. A second shuttle will be called if needed.
