Acer TeachSmartA smart way to teach. A fun way to learn.

• A brighter way to interact. With an LED light (That flashes in various colors) embedded on every student’s PC, classroom participation is more dynamic. For example, teachers can post multiple choice questions to the whole class and have students select their answers on their PC. The LED lights will flash in a corresponding color to indicate the answers they choose. This allows teachers to get a quick overview of everyone’s answer and a fun way for students to be tested and quizzed.

• 30 students, 1 teacher, 0 backpacks. Teachers can prepare and distribute class materials and homework with unmatched ease. Through Microsoft OneNote sharing with a Microsoft account, teachers can dish out assignments and stay abreast of each student’s progress, all without anyone having to carry any bulky materials around.

A Cloud based software system keeps teacher and students connected, not only in the classroom, but outside as well. Power WinkYour battery status in the blink of an eye

• Color coded. The LED light can light up in 4 colors to tell you how much battery power you have left, even from a distance. Percentage of power is indicated as follows : solid red for 0-33%, solid yellow for 34-66%, solid green for 67%-98%, solid blue for 99-100%.

• Information in a wink. A multicolored LED light that blinks provides a visually intuitive way for you to tell where your battery power stands. They green light blinks (1 sec. on and 1 sec off ) till entering OS. Yellow light blinks (1 sec on, 3 sec off ) till entering sleep mode or remains solid to indicate information.

• Boot up light. The LED light will light up in blinking green as soon as you turn on your computer and will remain on until the OS is up and running.

It’s a well-known fact that a laptop’s circuit board and liquids don’t mix. Acer Water Resistant keyboard ensures they never do. When liquid is accidentally spilled on the keyboard, touchpad or hinge frame. The liquid is expelled from the bottom of the chassis, keeping internal components dry.

TravelMate B117 has a service door at the bottom. You remove ONE screw, and you have access to things which commonly fail or require upgrade– HDD, RAM etc.

The good thing about this design is chances of accidental damage while servicing is extrenely low. And you can purchase parts from any computre store and replace them at home veryeasily.
