He is an excellent Professional Engineer and is well known in the academic and in the engineering faculty fraternity. He is a product of College of Engineering, Trivandrum. He entered in the teaching profession in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam and later joined CET as teacher and retired as Professor from CET. He is an eminent academician, a Structural Engineering consultant and a dynamic administrator with 32 years of teaching experience of which 25 years is truly devoted to research. He has graduated in Civil Engineering from Kerala University studying at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, post graduated in Building Technology and Construction Management from IIT Roorkee securing Gold Medal and Doctoral degree from IIT Chennai. He had worked in various capacities, including the Head of Civil Engineering Department at College of Engineering Trivandrum, for about 28 years, was the Professor and Head of Extension Centre of National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) at Kalamassery for two years, was the Principal of Government College of Engineering Kannur for two years and was the Joint Director of Technical Education Kerala for eight months. Mr. Philip John is a post graduate in Engineering from IIT, Madras. He has a wide ranging experience of around 37 years in the IT industry, including Directorship in listed companies. He founded a software development company in Technopark, Trivandrum, in 2000 called Ushus Technologies and he was CEO from 2000 to 2005. With his technology acumen and his people oriented leadership, he has been able to attract clients, including Fortune 500 companies in USA & Japan, retain them and nurture them into sustaining contracts for the company. His previous experience as an engineer and manager includes firms such as Keltron, C D A C , N e S T , U s h u sTechnologies, Accel Transmatic Ltd., and Accel Frontline Ltd. V.Rev. Fr. Jose Viruppel President of LMCES and Vicar ofLourdes Forane Church. He secured MA, M.Lib Sc and M Philfrom various Universities in India and Vice Chancellors Goldmedalist from Nagpur University. He was the Director of St.Joseph College Dibiyapur Etawah, U. P and worked as ChiefLibrarian in S B College Changanacherry. There he was theDirector of Library and Information Science. Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society (LMCES), started in the year 2002, is an initiative of Syrian Catholic parishioners of Lourdes Forane church, Trivandrum, under the leadership of the then Vicar of Lourdes Forane church Rev. Fr. Joseph Kurunjipparambil and with the patronage of His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil, the then Archbishop of Changanacherry.

The College is governed by a Governing Body consisting of 29 elected members and an Executive Committee that looks into the day-to-day affairs of LMCES.

On successfully completing thirteen years of service LMCES introduced LIFE, a novel initiative to promote excellence in research and development, thus, taking technical and management education to new heights.

Admission to management quota will be on the basis of merit only, by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by state Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50.

To get admission in NRI quota, the candidate

need not appear for the Entrance Examination.

For NRI seats contact our city office at PMG (Ph - 0471 2302481). Once the admission is confirmed, then the student cannot change branch or college. NRI fee is non - refundable. There should be an NRI sponsor (parent or close relative) for the student. NRI fees and number of seats are subject to govt. approval.

Application forms duly filled in along with a fee for Rs.500 may be submitted to the office directly, or by DD for Rs.500/- in favour of Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology payable at Trivandrum should be sent to the address overleaf. The Placement Cell of LMCST works in coordination with prospective employers from varied engineering fields to create opportunities for students, through campus placements. The placement cell conducts various training and career counselling programs from the first year onwards, to enable students to face tests, GD and interviews, with confidence.
