Song Illustration

Illustrations for the song „Battle cry“ from Nujabes. Watercolor fineliner and coffee on 250g vat paper.

The song battle cry is about a warrior, who decides to stand up to the old ways and ruler of the world, and starts to fight for what he believes is right.

The inner conflict

Even thought he started with a noble pur-pose, he soon begins to fight for himself. He can‘t bring himself to trust anyone any-more and becomes a fearsome being.

To make peace with oneself

By finding companions to rely on and trust he becomes a man one can respect, the hero that the world was needing.

Poster design

Everyone listens to music and everyone has at least 3 different favorite music artists. In this project we where free to choose 3 musicians and create posters that would represent the image and the feel of there music.

The colors

A lot of his albums have a mixture of cold and warm colors to symbolize the difference between his thoughtful lyrics and the beats that accompany them.

The face

The albums which often consisted of shapes and colors had an anonymous feeling to them. In this poster I tried to brake that habit (by using my profile :D).

The meaning

The Dj and producer Nucabes died 26. February 2010. this concert is a tribute on his death anniversary. The phra-se was handwritten by Sebastian Lamot.

The Beatles

Let‘s rock epoque

The freedom to choose any topic of our liking and transforming it on fabric led to the brand name ‚let‘s rock époque‘ and to experiences that will always be special to me in more than one way.

In this collaboration between Sebastian Lamot, Jana Faust and myself, we decided to combine old with new.

Art Nouveau

The slang words „Do up & Doll up / Goop & Kippy“ from the early 20th centenary where the center of these fab-ric shoes.

Accompanied by flowers and plants it is the per-fect embodiment for Art Nouveau.

Barock

Different golden buttons are a perfect way to depict the Barock lifestyle.

Corporate design

This particular project was a lot of fun to do, mostly because choosing and deciding was easy due to similar minds working together.

Developing a corporate design for a church was the goal of this assignment. Done in collaboration with Sebastian Lamot and Jannie Hoevelmann.

Mailing

Business card and stationery.

Corporate design

The donation postcard design with informa-tion on the back is for the interested people to pick up.

Different postcard designs where made for collecting purpose.

Poster printing

The technique

Different techniques where used in the making of the poster series. We tried from relief and block to gravure printing.

The materials

Hand dyed vat paper is never the same shade, so choo-sing the right paper was essential. Gouache paint was the perfect choice to print on the fragile paper.

A little bit of boredom, some money to spare and two friends who can work super well together and you get some unique posters. This project what done for privat purpose by Sebastian Lamot an myself.
