Guide us to the correct way
(Ayah 6)
From here we start making the actual du’a
Remember the prerequisites of a du’a?
• Know what you are asking for• Make sure you really want it• Ask from your heart
We are learning it
What is the Siraat Al Mustaqeem?
The straight way? OR The right way ?
A straight path is very smooth with no hurdles
It may/may not lead to Jannah !
You can reach Jannah by
Can bedifficult to
walk on
And doing the things we don’t like
Do you want to do that for Allah (swt)?
Might need to get out of
your car
and walk
Are you willing to say good bye to your comfort for Allah
(swt)?
There can be a steep climb !
Allah (swt) tests people he chooses for Jannah
Are you willing to pay the price for Jannah?
We are very short sighted
Can’t see
Jannah
from the
bottom
Can’t see our
destination
This would have helped
It can tire you easily
It can be
lonely !
You need a break
You’ll be a social out cast
What is the rush
Obedience of Allah (swt) is
for a life time
Does this stop you from obeying Allah (swt)?
Life time obedience
Way to Jannah
Hurdles may stop you
Our hurdles in life
• People• Our inner
desires• Satan
Which one leads to
Jannah ?
Follow the Prophet’s (pbuh) way
What do I do
now?
This is Satan working on
you
You can get hurt !
And confuse others
too
You can stop many others from reaching Jannah
If one path is closed find
another one
There are a lot of roads
leading to Jannah !
But this is just in optional deeds
We have to walk on the Siraat Al-
Mustaqeem
Exercise Think of a person who you think
is really lucky
عم ت ن ن ا ذي اط ال صر هم ي The way of thoseعل
whom you have blessed
They are the lucky ones
Is this being lucky?
! Fir’aun had all the
blessings
Do we want to end up
like him?
Musa’s (as) life was full of struggle
Then what blessing had Allah (swt) given him?
True blessing is…
To live your life according to
your manual.
The book ofAllah (swt)
Then who are these lucky people?
People who follow Allah’s (swt) book and the prophets’ way.
• The prophets• The truthful• The martyrs • The righteous
Qualities of these lucky people
• Sincerity to Allah (swt) and His Messengers
• Adherance to Allah’s (swt) commands
• Refrain from what He has prohibited
Remember the prerequisites of a du’a?
• Know what you are asking for
• Make sure you really want it• Ask from your heart
Do we actually
want
