Updated Quarter 3 Timeline for Elementary Schools:

April 8, 2020: End Quarter 3 April 21, 2020 Report cards made available to elementary parents and

students

Thank you to all of you who have already completed the U.S. Census. If you haven’t completed the Census yet, consider doing so as soon as possible.

The Census count is a big factor in federal funding our community receives. It’s simple: The more accurate our count of people, the more likely we receive the funding we need for many federal programs such as head start, afterschool programs, and free and reduced-price school lunches.

To complete the Census, just go to the website www.2020census.gov. And yes, if your family has borrowed a district laptop for school use, you can use that laptop to fill out the census, as well.

It only takes a few minutes, but the positive impact lasts for a decade. It really does mean a lot for our school and our students. Thank you for taking the time to participate in the US Census.

Field-Trip Refunds/Reimbursement Update

Cynthia has processed and sent Blue Ridge checks in the mail this week. She will start processing

Driftwood next. We did receive the Music USA Check this week. We have deposited it in the bank and

are waiting for it to clear before we start those refunds. We are working on information to Prek parents

regarding refunds/reimbursements/credits. Those families will be getting a separate email regarding

that information next week.

Please use the letter that is attached to my communication to request a refund for any field trip that

you have paid for and has been cancelled. Please complete the information and return to us at your

earliest convenience. A correct mailing address will expedite the refund!
