INAV®

Primus EpicTM INAV® is a revolutionary breakthrough in

display technology. First certified on the Gulfstream 550,

INAV® is the industry’s first interactive navigation system.

The system allows crews to select objects on the display

through the cursor control device allowing intuitive

interaction between the pilot and the display functions.

The blending of Honeywell’s patented EGPWS and INAV®

technologies provides crews with increased levels of

safety. Imagine an approach to landing where all LZ

information is displayed coupled with EGPWS data.

Only Primus EpicTM offers this type of integrated information.

Because the Primus EpicTM system functions are software-

based, this next-generation avionics suite delivers

unprecedented operational value because system

updates, like future communication, navigation, and

synthetic vision sytem, do not require extensive

cockpit modifications.

FUTURE VISIONHoneywell’s future vision includes a short-range sphere

of detection, full flight space control and detection, and

an interface between flight controls and detection system

that will not allow collisions. Honeywell is developing an

integrated primary flight display (IPFD) that includes a

synthetic vision system to synthesize key information and

deliver it in an easy and intuitive way. IPFD provides a

presentation of the external environment fused with cues

that helps the pilot make necessary short-term tactical

decisions needed during flight.

Primus EpicTM

Providing pilots with a better view

Honeywell’s Primus EpicTM integratedavionics system provides advanced flightdeck functionality, improved situationalawareness, and increased system flexibility. The Epic system features large flat paneldisplays, modular avionics, a fully functionalhelicopter FMS, a four-axis autopilot, andis NVIS-compatible.

The flexible displays allow for viewing ofengine instruments, crew alerting, multiplesystem synoptic pages, and video.

Only Honeywell’s Primus EpicTM offersthis unique set of capabilites. A set ofcapabilites no other system can.

Flight Deck for the AW139

Primus EpicTM is certified,

in production and in service.
